Compass Solar Energy online reputation

Compass Solar Energy has received mostly positive reviews from its patrons. Professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail are just some of the reasons why so many clients have commended the firm. They have also praised the goods' high quality and the speed with which they were installed. However, there have been complaints about the quality of both the pre-and post-sale support. Despite this, the vast majority of Compass Solar Energy's clients have expressed satisfaction with the company's work.
"In the event of a system failure, you will be charged $25 per hour for the technician's travel time to your location, plus $100 per hour for the troubleshooting and repair of any non-warranted components. An excellent strategy for their company. Unfortunately for the consumers..." - David S.
"The system developed a joint leak in under a year. Someone was sent, and after inspecting the system, he claimed to have corrected it. After waiting for almost 6 months, the leaks returned. I called, only to be told the warranty had run out. The cost of repairs is $100/hour. A Brother of mine is a reformed contractor. We went to check out the alleged joint. The damage was fixed by slathering adhesive on the pipe's outside. It was doomed from the start. We disassembled the part and reassembled it. Since I need a new roof now, Compass is demanding more than $6,000 to remove and reinstall the system. I'm going to ditch their system in favor of one from a more renowned provider. If you decide to utilize them, I wish you the best of luck." - Robert C.
"After five months of intermittent solar output and many system alarms, I am now completely without solar power, and there is no sign of a fix in sight. My issues persist after having had the system serviced on many times and having had an inverter changed. I don't understand why you can't seem to resolve the problems. Sometimes I don't even know when the service people are coming until they've already been here for a day and told me everything is OK or that they'll be back. Nothing of the kind has occurred. Since my system is so underperforming, I'm stuck paying the loan for it and FPL for the electricity." - Jeffrey K.
"For such a significant purchase, I had hoped for better customer service. It took me many calls to finally arrange an installation appointment. An extra cost wasn't accounted for in the original budget. The estimate I was given was almost entirely off. The salesperson was unable to convincingly argue the merits of solar energy. It took little under three months from contract signature to system activation." - Brian M.
"I chose Compass Solar because of their excellent reputation. After the fact, I discovered that Baldwin EMC, my local utility, mandated me to buy a $1,000,000 PLC that covers "damage to the grid/loss of life" in the event of an accident. We all know the utility is only trying to protect its bottom line by imposing this demand. I've been looking for an insurer to provide this coverage for the last 6 weeks with no luck. To make an informed decision, I required this information. Without solar panels, I have a $24,000 roof decoration. That representative was responsible for understanding what was needed to get the system up and running." - Aiden P.
"After talking to Kevin, I decided to delete my prior one-star rating. After speaking with him and meeting with him, I would suggest Compass even if he is not our normal sales guy. Kevin considerably enhanced my view of Compass, which was negatively impacted by my meeting with our first sales guy and prevents me from giving 5 stars. It worked out well because my former PCB sales rep no longer covers. My next-door neighbor highly recommended Kevin and Compass after working with them. Ask for Kevin if you want to work with Compass since he's the best in the business." - John G.
"I regret not doing this earlier in life. For me, going solar is a no-brainer, and I'm grateful to have had Doug from Compass Solar guide me through the whole process. The installation team was top-notch. Consistently prompt, reliable, and pleasant service." - James O.
"They did a thorough analysis of our roof for solar potential and only sold me what I needed to help me become less reliant on the utility company. Thomas did an excellent job of advising us and helping us implement the proper strategy. Our 40 panels were installed by Mark's crew in a single day. The technicians did an excellent job with the wiring and setup. It serves its purpose well, and the only significant part of my power cost is the connection charge. Most Strongly Advocated... Excellent business" - Andrew T.
"I just had a solar pool heater and photovoltaic system built. The whole process, from first contact to finished installation, was quite positive for me. Some of the other businesses tried to gain an edge during the quote phase by demeaning their rivals. Compass based their success in the market on goods, alternatives, services, and pricing. Permitting, engineering design, installation, frequent inspections, and communications with the power provider are just a few of the many moving parts in this process. Compass handled everything well and kept me updated on our progress every week. The whole team I dealt with—from the estimators to the schedulers to the engineers—was superb. The expertise and professionalism of the installers was particularly noteworthy. Mistakes and sloppy work are common because many businesses fail to invest in their teams. The installation crew astonished me. They were helpful, pleasant to work with, and knowledgeable about what they were doing. The project was completed ahead of schedule without any "surprises" or extra costs above the original estimate. My experience with Compass Solar Energy was excellent, and I would recommend them without reservation to anybody interested in solar energy." - William R.
"From the first estimate through the completed work, I was impressed. I had a little problem with one of their employees who was dispatched to my location to install a new system update. The business owner checked his work and personally reacted to my concerns. After more than three years of uninterrupted service, we can confidently say that this technology is bulletproof. In the summer, I have more hot water than I can use. In the winter, more heating is required. The Florida State Rebate Program was the only serious issue, and this was not the result of any actions taken by Compass. The state refund that had been promised to me was never fully paid out because they ran out of money. As promised, Gulf Power promptly issued the refund." - Charles G.
