"The actual kicker was revealed when their price for the necessary roof repairs was made, after the presentation of a 25-year loan at an interest rate of 0.99%. The first estimate for removing the cement tiles from my roof and installing new tar paper below them in preparation for the solar panels was $11,200. The original tiles would be set back into place. After my warning to back out of the deal, they lowered the price of the roof work to $8,300, citing "all of the labor necessary to do the roof work" as the reason. While my wife and I think their assessment of the effort required to complete the roof work was exaggerated, we grudgingly accepted to the decreased pricing and proceeded with the contract since solar was essential to our new house in Murrieta, California. The roofers arrived up today, and with just three of them, they finished the work within the allotted seven hours. Nails and tar paper were the only building supplies. Current Home either has a roofing section or has partnerships with roofing firms that demand astronomically high prices for roofing repairs. Customers agree since they have been misled about how much money is involved, and they can afford the work because of the 25-year, low-interest loan. Current Home ought to be embarrassed. Now that the cooling-off time has gone and the contract has been signed, we are legally obligated to proceed with the solar installation. Consider this food for thought while you think about your current residence." - Edwin N.
"The first sales consultation went off without a hitch. There was a snag with the pool inspection after the installation was planned, and I was advised to contact them back after I had resolved the issue. After getting the necessary permits and putting up the solar panels, they vanished without a trace. They botched the loan paperwork, and it's been weeks since I asked that it be repaired. My repeated emails requesting access to the monitoring software have gone unanswered. Conveniently, I started writing bad reviews on Friday, the same day an inspection was planned. On September 18, 2022, the system became life. When I tried to get in touch with them, they ignored me for almost a month and only got around to doing anything after it became inconvenient for them. You should seek out another provider." - Bradley M.
"This is a business that I cannot endorse. While their costs are reasonable, we decided to add solar panels and a battery instead. They failed to use the proper stickers and ground rods, among other things. They are unreliable and often turn up unexpectedly. It's already been two months since we installed useless solar panels on our roof. The buck stops with SDGE, if you ask them. Such a bad dream! I need some legal counsel." - Adam M.
"My agreement with this firm to have solar panels installed on my roof was finalized in January of 2021. I had anticipated receiving the proper panels with the agreed-upon arrangement and design. They finally arrived to put the solar panels on my roof three months later. The LG panels I had contracted for were switched out for Jinko panels, and the location and style of the panels on my roof were altered, all without my knowledge. I hired Current Home and Urban Solar to investigate the rationale for the adjustments. The LG panels, they said, were no longer produced since the Georgia factory had been shut down. Yet they still say they have them for sale on their website. As compared to the Jinko panels, the LG panels were of greater quality and produced more energy each month (in kilowatt-hours). They also informed me that the panel arrangement had to be altered to conform to the regulations of the structure. After 6 months and 3 failed inspections, I still haven't received compensation from the firm for the subpar panel. After then, Duke (our electricity provider) finally gave their stamp of approval to the pact. On October 16th, the system was finally turned on. Duke's first monthly charge for me averaged 2800 kw/h. With solar panels, I should be able to reduce my monthly bill from $514 to about $150, or so I was informed. Since activation, I've had to fork out more than $220 monthly to Duke and another $200 monthly to the solar panel installation business. I was told my payment would be $300 per month, therefore this is a $150 increase. Since this has occurred, I have been unable to contact Current Home to fix the problems. They keep insisting that the roof is shaded, despite repeated warnings not to install panels there. Even if this is an ongoing fight, please do not use Current Home to install solar panels on your property. You're taking a chance if you do that!" - School С.
"You people ripped me off again with the sunnova solar panel system you offered me. The cost to me is $186 each month. They are now trying to charge me $500. And I tried calling my present residence back about the previous problem, but I got no answer. As a consumer, I cannot recommend solar panels for the average house at this time. They're simply dodging me like a sunnova now. The firm is terrible." - Hayes G.
"It was a pleasure to collaborate with them. They were kind and thorough in answering our many questions at every stage. All of our solar panels have turned out beautifully. The neighbors have been quite complimentary and curious. I would suggest it to everyone! I really appreciate it." - Troy D.
"The service I received from Current Home today was unparalleled. After much deliberation, I decided to switch to solar power today, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with Current Home. There is no one better than Olivia. Her thoroughness and clarity of explanation were incredibly helpful. Tami deserves a huge thank you for being so flexible and helpful. I would highly suggest Current Home." - Zico F.
"I had solar panels put by Current House, and they worked well, particularly during the quarantine period. Money was saved in the first month since the price plan was so reasonable. They dealt with the HOA, if necessary. It took a day to install. The whole thing was quite simple. Strongly recommended!" - Billy F.
"The installation of CurrentHome was really easy and required almost little effort on my part. My roof is made of concrete tiles, and the installation was completed quickly and without any damage. I was never required to contact anybody for an update. Without being overbearing, the organization took the initiative to keep me apprised of developments." - Scott W.
"A friend of mine in the neighborhood recommended Current Home to me. I decided to contact them after hearing nothing but praise from her. About a week later, I invited Terry to my house for a planning and budgeting session. He listened carefully and planned out when I could have the panels placed and how many I would need. When it came time for the installation, it took around three days since a section of my roof required repair. The guy who came out was extremely careful to leave no nails or other trash in the yard where my pets may trip over them. I would suggest Current House for Solar to anybody interested in solar energy." - Lewis G.
