"Don't believe them when they say you won't have an electricity bill!!! BS! I have 60 panels Even though I have a 3200-square-foot house and a 900-square-foot shop, I've never had less than a $150 bill. Plus the bill for the solar system was $550. I'm trying to figure out where the money has been saved. Exclamation exclamation. Just another show made of smoke and mirrors. So it's not worth the money to buy the house. If everything ran at once, I couldn't spend $700 on electricity every month." - Anton B.

"Once I signed the contract with EGT Solar to have them install my solar panels, it took almost a full year before they finally got started. They demanded payment in full before installing the system. No owner's manual or instructions for use were included (other than being told everything is online). The entire system crashed just four months after it was set up, and fixing it took more than three. They make it extremely difficult to get in touch with them by not providing a customer support phone number. So far, my system hasn't generated even half of the electricity that was promised when I bought it. My (less-than-two-year-old) system has been down for about two months now, and EGT Solar hasn't responded to my service requests to get it up and running again. THE SYSTEM IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. They are dishonest liars and thieves. YOU SHOULD REGRET THAT." - Kyle O.

"On February 16 of this year, I installed the solar panels. In July, the solar panel inverter stopped working. My solar panels have not worked since then. In my experience, EGT Solar has the worst customer service. They keep making me wait hours at a time, and it's a headache to track down a technician to come fix the problem. Without giving me advance notice, EGT Solar canceled my appointment with the inverter repair technician who was scheduled to come today (November 16). When I called EGT Solar, they said they don't have a specialist in my area and the closest they could get me in for service would be in February. This is so absurd it makes me laugh. After my ordeal, I will not recommend their solar panels to anyone. If you want certainty, EGT Solar is not what you need. Now that I've thrown away a lot of money and time, I have to wait for EGT Solar to set up a service to fix the inverter. This whole thing with EGT Solar has been worse than a nightmare for me." - Lars V.

"The results of using EGT Solar are not guaranteed (i.e. the system should never work). On the whole, I paid. We put it in the system. Five months later, it was still functioning normally. It's been broken for the past month with no foreseeable maintenance. There is absolutely no way to get your money back. Go to a different firm. There is a reason they are the least expensive choice. "I purchased a solar energy system from EGT Solar after doing a lot of research. I purchased an 11.5kWh system instead of the 7.5kWh I had assumed I would require. Its initial year's highest production was 9.4 kWh, and since then, it has performed at a 7% yearly decline. EGT Solar continues to brush off my concerns and blame it on a contract fault, despite my repeated efforts to persuade them to rectify the performance gap." - Nick L.

They worked well with my roofer to get my new roof put on, and they met all of their installation goals. I now have a new roof and a system that works and meets my needs. They didn't hide anything in the fine print like some of the other companies I've received bids from. Even quicker than we thought, they completed the installation and took care of everything. "We put a lot of money into solar and were trying to decide between two solar companies that serve the south-central part of Idaho. Lucas, in particular, has been there for us and an important part of our journey with solar. Mark is another important person at EGT who has helped get our system up and running and keep it up and running. Keep in mind that EGT does a lot of positive solar activism and lets us know when Idaho Power wants to do its own thing even though most of the comments from solar customers are against it. Working with EGT has been and will continue to be a great, personal, and professional experience where we're not just a number. They do awareness and activism work that supports solar energy and energy independence. It's a great group to work with, and the founder and owner even made himself available to talk to us as we made this decision. EGT is close by and easy to get to. "Solar has been on my mind for a long time. I never bought anything because I never felt I could trust a company. Then, I came across EGT solar. Not only are they from treasure valley in Idaho, but they also spent hours talking to me, showing me examples, answering all my questions, and teaching me about the solar market. Their customer service is great, and their products are great. My system has been set up for two months, and it works as it should. If you want a company you can trust, EGT is your best bet. Every other company lied to me about how much it would cost upfront and how their monthly payments would be less than my current bill. I won't go into a lot of detail but don't make the mistake of not calling EGT to at least talk to them and ask questions. I'm sure you'll want them to do your solar work." - Paul W.

"It only took me two days to set up. When it was 100 degrees outside and they were on a black roof, I felt bad for them. The site was clean. My system passed the first inspection by State and Power, and I started getting power from the sun less than 10 days after the installation was done. My first electric bill was $3.95, and I had a credit of 1,297 kWh to use during the winter. My whole house runs on electricity, so it was great to see this bill after a month with several days over 100 degrees." - Billy C.
