EmPower Solar online reputation

Customers that have used EmPower Solar's services have, on the whole, been pleased with their interactions with the company. The quality of the goods and services offered has been lauded, as has the company's focus on satisfying clients. However, there have been a few gripes from consumers regarding the slow installation process and other delays. However, the vast majority of customers are pleased with EmPower Solar's service and have recommended the company to others.
"Despite my two years with Empower, I am still not completely satisfied. The frequency of micro-inverter failures is high. They won't do active monitoring, so I'll have to contact PSEG once I start receiving invoices. They come out and repair it, but they never compensate for the loss I incurred. They claim to have filed a complaint with sunpower, but the situation is never resolved in my favor. That very much renders it worthless. I had no idea that solar panels may cease producing power during storms. Because of Isas effects, I lost six months of solar credit use and had to pay PSEG fees during the whole winter. I have PSEG bills from June and July (the busiest months of the year), and now 6 or 7 microinverters have failed. They billed me $278 to fix the problem, and that amount is contingent upon acceptance by sunpower. This installation is ultimately beyond of empower's purview, since they play no direct role in it. To put it simply, I regret making this purchase." - Gavin I.
"EmPower caught my attention because of the positive reviews I read about their customer service. They were quick to provide a quote when I contacted them. However, their follow-up was unsuccessful. One of their sales reps, said he would send an updated quote on the canopy system soon. This led to him leaving on a two-week business trip without alerting me (or activating an out-of-office response). When he returned, he expressed regret and said he would provide a quote as soon as possible. When I didn't receive it a few days later, I emailed again, but still haven't received a response. No direct contact information was provided, and when I called the company, no record of him could be found. I have tried many times to call the front desk, but no one answered. It makes me nervous to think about how they will treat me after the sale if this is how they treat eager paying customers." - Mason J.
"In 2018, I spent the price of a respectable BMW on a sizable system. It was wonderful...until the wifi dongle, which talks with the internet to provide information on the system's power output, stopped working. There was no warning from EmPower before it died; I learned of its demise in the monthly report. It would cost $1000 to replace. Customer care informed them that they were out of luck since the warranty had ended a few months before. Excellent assistance to customers. Excellent work!" - Evan K.
"Getting on their agenda takes a long time. At long last, someone has arrived to inspect the installation. Finally, they vanished. We were able to have EmPower Solar panels installed after months of phone conversations. They drilled many holes in the roof without hitting any rafters, thus we had a huge leak the day after installation. Then, it was a huge hassle to arrange for repairs. We have no idea whether the leaks were properly fixed, and we may discover dry rot in the future. The worst customer service we've ever had from a business. The EmPower Solar route is the one to choose if you want to be constantly stressed out." - Brandon L.
"After buying a home equipped with solar panels and a power purchase agreement (PPA), I was automatically enrolled in a contract. To my dismay, I have not been saving nearly enough. Since EmPower Solar is still paying us the same amount per month as the prior owner, I requested whether our consumption might be reevaluated. Nothing EmPower Solar does is helpful. I inquired about a buyout and was given a figure that was comparable to what I would pay over the next decade if I just left the solar panels installed and continued making payments of more than $300 monthly. EmPower Solar is not the way to go. They're useless! As far as I can tell, they're not interested in lending a hand. Terrible service to customers. They make no effort to assist you. I’m really just trying to avoid more discussion. STOP USING RIGHT NOW!!!!!" - Lucas T.
"Since my first conversation with John at Empower a year ago, I have had nothing but positive experiences with my solar panels. John wasn't just another slick-talking teen from the local university. He was unaggressive and knowledgeable about the whole procedure. The installation crew accommodated my requests to ensure that the system would function properly with the new 200 amp power panel and on the roof. I had two small concerns after the installation, both of which were quickly resolved by the support personnel. Everything about it was wonderful." - Samuel D.
"The solar panels were on our roof before Superstorm Sandy. Our technicians, did a fantastic job during a routine inspection. Incredibly well mannered and competent! They helped us humanely destroy the squirrel nest, and now we know that the mother squirrel bred safely. I feel relieved that I was able to contact Empower and get technical support quickly. In addition, our solar panels have consistently provided us with excellent performance. I fully support Empower." - Tyler G.
"Yesterday I finally had solar panels put on my roof. My decision to go with EmPower came after a year of looking into several options and comparing prices, reviews, systems, materials, and panels. My efforts in securing information paid off handsomely. The salesperson, went through every detail, from the various panel kinds to the available customizations. He didn't spend any of my time attempting to steer me in a different way. He was well-informed, and his assistance in formulating a strategy that met my requirements was invaluable. Then my project manager took over. He was there to brief us on our progress and make sure everything ran well. Corey kept asking how things were doing the whole time. We finally reached installation day. It's flawless and modern looking; they nailed it. They took the time to explain each step of the procedure and how it all fits together." - Dylan H.
"After a little hiatus in late August, I "hooked up" with Empower. My "normal" PSEG bill was over $350 per month, and my budget payment was only going in one direction: up. In September I paid $15, in October I paid $10, and in November, despite the gloomy weather, I paid $48. I can't wait to have a full year of experience since then my rates will drop to almost nothing. The salesman was fantastic to work with. The third-party electrical inspector assured me that EMPOWER consistently exceeds industry standards. Before deciding on EMPOWER, I had spoken to numerous other contractors. When compared to EMPOWER, no one else was as competent. My preference goes to EMPOWER." - Caleb A.
"Two years ago, I had EmPower Solar install solar panels. The method works well, in my opinion. More kilowatt hours (Kwh) are being produced by the system than were predicted. Once a year, ConEd sends us a beautiful cheque to compensate us for the extra energy we produce. My only bill is ConEd's maintenance fee of less than $10. I'm thrilled to have played a role in reducing pollution and protecting trees thanks to EmPower Solar. After researching and comparing several local companies, I was impressed with the level of service provided by EmPower Solar and the quality of their panels." - Nicholas E.
