Encor Solar website review

The encorsolar.com website focuses on saving the environment through Encor Solar installations. Emphasizes loyalty programs, perks and benefits of switching to solar energy. The site provides links to Encor Solar's social networks, which has a positive effect on customer support. The downside of the website is that it lacks detailed technical specifications for solar systems, which would be helpful for homeowners who need more information about different types of solar solutions.

Encor Solar online reputation

The evaluations that customers have left for Encor Solar emphasize several excellent elements of the firm, such as the quickness of installation and the experience of its personnel. On the other hand, a sizeable portion of the critical feedback points to a lack of communication, subpar customer service, and pushy door-to-door sales tactics as the primary reasons for the reviewer's dissatisfaction.
"Installed the system in the summer, but it hasn't been allowed to go online since, reportedly, neither the municipal nor the electricity provider can arrange an inspection. Every time I've been called for updates, it's always for a different reason!!! the process' follow-up was terrible." - Ira
"The worst customer service ever provided by this firm! In their sales presentation, they assured me that I would receive a significant tax credit to apply to my loan for the solar panels in order to prevent an increase in my monthly payment after sixteen months. I was told that they will send someone to show me how to monitor my system on a regular basis. They assured me that they would send someone to assist me in installing the thermostat they delivered. NEVER took place! They promised to have a management contact me to discuss my complaints. Even though the panels were placed two months ago, I have no idea if they are still working. I continue to pay my monthly power payment. Get your solar panels from a different supplier!" - katherinekappelm
"Although the sales procedure and installation went smoothly, the activation was painful. The panels have been installed on my roof for months, but the follow-up has been among the worst I've ever witnessed. I followed up with them more than 40 times to inquire about the status of the county permission, but they continued to ignore me. Although it is their policy to cover any payments made prior to activation, I am still responsible for paying for both the installation and my energy bill. These are complete liars who just care about making a sale, so don't believe anything they say. Never feel guilty for telling someone to f*ck off if they show up at your place." - JMS
"Since we wanted to generate more of our own electricity or use renewable energy, we made the system purchase in good faith based on the facts our salesman supplied. System was deployed in January 2022, and payments through bank draft weren't planned to start until March. In October, we discover that the installed system generates more energy than our electric provider would accept. We only chose solar in the first place because we wanted to switch from one energy source to another; we weren't interested in a "auxiliary" system, and it wasn't what we were initially marketed or promised either. The roof and siding would be restored to its previous state, as promised by the operations manager, but now that she is leaving the firm, we are being handed off to someone else. Emails and phone calls go unanswered for weeks. Have not received reimbursement for the past two promised loan payments (up until then we were getting checks to offset the loan payment for a non-working solar system). If we are not contacted and the panel removal, roof repair, and loan are not closed by the end of the month, we will stop making loan payments right away and will get in touch with a lawyer. Avoid falling for the solar sales pitch and first get in touch with your power provider before signing anything. I'm quite upset and demoralized by the whole thing." - MJ
"My house already had solar panels when I bought it. Last spring, I had to rebuild my roof because of hail damage. The solar panels needed to be taken down and put back up. The cost to just remove and install the panels was $10000. When the system was reinstalled, it was done wrongly, and I stopped getting credits from my energy company. When I called customer support, they promised to perform some troubleshooting at my house on a specific day and at a specific hour. I took the day off from work so that I could consult the tech. Nobody ever contacted to reschedule or showed up. They just failed to appear. Since then, I've gone through the identical situation three times. After the reinstallation, my system hasn't operated correctly, and Encor merely keeps me waiting without addressing the issue. From my initial interaction with customer support, it has been 4 months. I estimate that I lost at least $600. If you anticipate any sort of post-sale customer care, avoid Encor. My next step will be to get in touch with a lawyer." - Greg
"Installation was a snap, activation took some time but was to be expected, and my agent advised me of that. The sales process was quite straightforward, and the representative was very knowledgable." - Jeremy Moore
"It took some time for PNM to have the system switched on, but Encor paid my solar bill until the system was turned on, at which point my rate reduced to $8 per month! Encor Solar has been fantastic! I'm overjoyed and like being able to check the system from my phone!" - Daniel R
"The meeting with Encor Solar was the nicest experience our family has ever had. from their courteous and competent door-to-door salespeople, who wore company-branded clothing. A special thanks to Alex Lago, who guided us through the entire procedure. He spent the time to address all of our inquiries and ease our concerns about making such a significant choice. For a few years, we had been debating switching to solar power. Yet, none of the businesses spent the time necessary to address our concerns or put us at rest before making such a crucial choice. Alex was more than simply a salesperson; he was an engineer with more knowledge than a young guy seeking to earn a commission. It is clear that he cares about getting the details perfect. We are overjoyed that we went with Encor Solar, especially on installation day, when the only sound we could hear was hammering. Even more so, we were happy we went with Encor Solar. The majority of our area has at least one solar vendor, and the noisy installation has affected the whole community. I was more pleased with our decision, though, when my friend next door who recently gave birth claimed the only sound she heard was the hammering and it did not wake the baby! I couldn't be happier with the courteous, tidy, and considerate installation team! Alex did not oversell Encor Solar's team as being fantastic. They were not only on time, but they also made sure we understood everything they did before they left by walking us through it. We have always had access to Alex if we have any queries along the road. He even stopped by after installation to see whether we were satisfied, whether it was to assist with paperwork or provide assistance during installation. I have nothing but praise for Alex Lago and the Encor Solar Team!" - Yarboro
"This spring, Encor built my solar system in Houston. They handled everything for me and performed it in a very professional manner, according to David Stone." - faresvlogs21
"Fantastic from the start... Local business. Best pricing after looking at several other businesses. Working with ENCOR has changed the way I view the world." - foosless
