"For ten months, I argued with EnergyPal until they finally completed the solar deal by enrolling me in MA Solar Rebates. I should have received a substantial sum from the state of Massachusetts, but due to their ineptitude and lack of concern for the client, I have missed out on that money. I took the initiative to learn as much as possible and join on my own. You should be aware of EnergyPal. After receiving payment, they stop caring about you." - Troy P.
"REFUSE TO USE EnergyPal The firm is terrible. They make plans to meet with you but never show up, and they don't apologize for keeping you waiting. Moreover, they make plans to complete the task but never really do so. I finally decided to visit their headquarters to seek an explanation, but they claimed they had forgotten about my home and had never contacted me about the job. They fabricated the whole thing regarding our talk." - David S.
"The sales procedure was unobtrusive, and in my experience, customer assistance has been prompt. However, when the building inspector came to complete the inspection, he discovered a few problems with the installation. Unfortunately, he was abandoned by the EnergyPal team, since no representative from the company was there. The inspector started dismantling the setup piece by piece. After the inspector's report was finished, EnergyPal came back out to evaluate it and make any necessary adjustments. Both of those post-inspection installations were completed without giving me (the homeowner) advance notice that EnergyPal would be stopping by. Finally, once the installation was finished, I saw that the "critter guards" I had asked for the panels had not been installed." - Lee A.
"The rating of "0 stars" is, unfortunately, unavailable. Stay well away from this shady business. With them, we decided to go solar. It's been more than a month and yet no construction has begun. They have not responded to our emails or phone calls. Now that we've given them our money, all we've gotten in return is more frustration." - Steven F.
"I chose EnergyPal for my home solar/battery installation due to their relatively excellent reviews. Response time was excellent early on but gradually decreased as more money was allocated to the project. It took weeks to coordinate the beginning of the project. It seems they expected me to immediately stop working and instead remain at home to "babysit" the project with just a few hours' notice. Now, weeks after the installation, I've been told that "consumption/production metering was not set up correctly" and that, "in the meantime," I should "shut off the system." I missed out on potential income during the recent heat wave since my battery did not qualify as a VPP. There is no word on when this will be fixed or how I may make up for the lost income, for example." - Ian H.
"Amy did a fantastic job of guiding us through the maze of paperwork and deadlines required to get our application for a solar system in to Pacific Gas and Electric before the less favorable energy buy-back regulations went into effect on April 17. Amy was very well-informed, expertly trained, and driven to make it happen. She has extensive knowledge of what was needed to complete a PGE. She was also willing to run various design and funding scenarios until I was pleased with the findings, and she helped me get financing at extremely reasonable rates. I can't suggest Amy enough from EnergyPal if you're considering installing solar panels." - Adam L.
"John, our Energy Advisor at EnergyPal, has been really helpful. Everything that arose during the journey was handled by him. He facilitated our acquisition of SunPower panels. (the only company I wanted to work with). Our solar panels and other machinery are now in good hands." - Kevin M.
"EnergyPal was great. I compared three quotes, and theirs was the lowest. Work was completed on time and in a professional manner throughout the whole process. The installation was completed ahead of time. All parties involved in the installation—electricians, the building department, and the electric utility—praised the work. In March of 2021, we began receiving free electricity. Overall, I'm Very Pleased." - Louis K.
"For a long time, we've considered switching to solar power, but we never knew how. EnergyPal's knowledge and comparing features simplified the process significantly. They advised us on several solar panel choices and installation strategies for our own roof, and their modeling tools made it simple to compare and contrast how each strategy would perform and how much money we might save over time. We were able to compare many quotations from reputable companies using EnergyPal, all of which included the cost of the panels as well as the labor to install them. The long-term savings and the low upfront costs of solar panels just blew us away. Overall, EnergyPal simplified our solar journey; we just regret not going solar sooner!" - Oliver G.
"Working with EnergyPal earlier this year was a great experience for my family and myself. They were really helpful all the way through, from assisting us in selecting the most suitable solar supplier for our house to assisting us in finalizing the contract. Our satisfaction with EnergyPal is at an all-time high, and we would not hesitate to suggest them to anybody thinking about going solar." - Robert B.
