Freedom Solar Power online reputation

The best to install solar panels is Freedom Solar Power. Excellent customer care, high-quality goods, and services have always been hallmarks of our company. Freedom Solar Power's customers often provide positive feedback. The professionalism and knowledge of the business have been lauded. The friendly employees at Freedom Solar Power, the top-notch products, and the simplicity of installation have received a lot of favorable feedback from customers. The company's customer service and the lengthy wait times for issues to be handled, however, were not liked by everyone. Because they work hard to provide effective and clean solar solutions, Freedom Solar Power has a great reputation as a trustworthy solar installation business.
"I can't say enough bad things about this company. Amazing about the pre-installation and sales. From there, it only gets better. During the first site visit, the technician didn't charge the drone and finish the site visit. Because the roof layout wasn't taken into account, the installation took longer than expected. The installation was delayed because the electricians didn't look over the plans or bring the parts for the car charger. Electricians didn't set it up according to the plans, so they failed the inspection and had to wait to turn it on. Had to have the system taken out so the roof could be fixed after a hail storm. This took weeks, and I had to pay upfront. After more than 15 emails and phone calls, someone finally came out to fix the system, but they forgot to put the critter guard back in. My power wall has been broken for a while now. All they can say is, "We won't be able to help you until some time next year." They won't give me the phone number of the local (regional) manager, and the local manager won't call me back. Once they have your money, you may never hear from them again. You're not "just a number," and you can't even get one. I paid $63K for a system that doesn't work, there's no one to talk to locally (I was told that was a selling point), and I can't even schedule service. As my emails and phone calls go unanswered, I'm hoping this will get someone to get in touch with me." - Wayne N.
"Can't get them to back up what they sell. No one ever picks up the phone. We have Tesla batteries, and we were told that when the power goes out and the batteries start working, it will be like nothing happened. But when the power goes out, it flickers and sometimes goes out completely before the batteries take over. We have tried to get in touch with them many times, but they haven't even called us back. We were also told we would get a $500 gift card, but it didn't work. As they told us, the solar does not make up for the kilowatts. They figure out how much power the solar panels can produce on their own, and then they install inverters that can't handle the full power of the panels. In other words, each of the panels we have has a power rating of 360 watts. But the inverters that are attached to each panel can only make about 338 watts. So, we have a 13.68-kilowatt system with 38 solar panels. But we're only getting a little more than 12 kilowatts, and that's because their cheap inverters are limiting how much power the solar panels can make. It's crazy that they figure out how much power your system will make and then lie to you about it, then base your payment on that number, and then put inverters with less power so you don't make as much power as they said you would. All of this is based on facts, like the parts that were installed (solar panels and inverters) and their part numbers, as well as the specs for how the inverters were made. The inverters can handle a maximum of 240 volts and 1.4 amps. Power is equal to Voltage times Current. Not 360 Watts, but 338 Watts. Also, the inverters are only about 97% effective, so the total amount of current supplied drops from 1.4 amps to 1.358 amps, which is only about 326 watts per panel. Yes, the BBB will hear about this." - Elijah A.
"Freedom solar couldn't get the job done. My only need was to have power at night when the grid goes down. That's more than I can handle. Gladly, the grid hadn't gone down, because by 3 am, my power bank is empty and I'm drawing power from the grid. It took 7 months to get a 25% solution. The engineering and analysis don't seem to be based on facts. When they finally got there, the installers worked quickly. I think I might have liked it better when they disappeared for seven months and I only lost my $10,000 deposit and still had hope." - Roy P.
"The first thing we bought was in September 2022. Today is February 14, 2023. There was no communication at all until we called customer service and were told that our panels had finally arrived. Electrical appointment and solar installation were set for Feb. 13 and 16. On the 13th, no one came or called. When we called support, we were told that our new appointment would be on March 9. If you choose this company, best of luck." - Vincent T.
"I've never been so upset with a company when I tried to get the service I paid for. From the beginning of the paperwork in June until the panels were put up, everything went well. Our local electric company's commissioning failed twice, and even after I worked with the regional manager to get it done, I had to keep in touch with Freedom Solar to move on to the next step. I was told that the app should work and that I should be able to start using it to track solar activity. I was gone for a week and a half on business, and nothing worked. I called again, and they said they needed information about my WiFi to set up the device. I asked why this wasn't brought up before, but there was no clear answer or explanation. After calling over and over again for another week, they finally sent a technician to look at it. Tech comes in sure that everything will be fine when he leaves, but what do you know? He leaves without saying a word, and nothing has changed. Again, after talking with the regional manager, something changed and I was able to use the app again. I was told everything is fine. The first thing I see when I log in is that the device is using cellular data and needs to be connected to WiFi. The garbage device from SunPower won't connect to my WiFi, so I put a separate WiFi router on the other side of the pvs6 and connect it myself. Last between 2 and 3 days, and now the monitoring device is not connected to anything and can't see the sun's activity. I called over and over, but each time I got a different answer. Now, whenever I call, I get a voicemail prompt. This company says they will call me by the end of the day when they figure something out, but they never do. It's either tomorrow or never. Don't do business with this company." - Randy M.
"Freedom Solar has a great group of employees. From the beginning of my project til the end, they worked with me to ensure I was satisfied. My representative Ralph went above and beyond to assist me when I had questions. Anytime I called, texted, or emailed, Ralph was eager to assist me. I will definitely recommend Freedom Solar to my family, friends, and co-workers." - Eugene G.
"In May 2022, I decided to learn more about solar panels. After Xcel Energy raised rates again, the writing was on the wall. The price of the electric bill was only going to go up. I asked 5 businesses to give me quotes. Each company asked for a year's worth of information about how much electricity I used, pictures of the electric panel on the back of my house, and my hopes for the solar panels. SunPower by Freedom Solar is what I chose because of two things: 1) Maxeon Series 425 Watt Panels made by SunPower and only sold through them. These panels are the best on the market and give the highest percentage of solar output for the longest amount of time. 2) Bobby, who works for Freedom Solar as a sales rep. Mike gave me his proposal and spent a couple of hours answering all the questions I had about the project. This was a big cost for anyone, but especially for a senior on a fixed income. Bobby gave me his cell phone number and said that if I had any more questions, I could call him. I chose Freedom Solar after looking at all the quotes and asking questions of all the companies. When I signed the proposal acceptance and gave Bob my deposit, he said I could call him whenever I had a question about my project. And, believe me, I did. At first, I was very nervous, but he was always there for me. I didn't need to worry. From the moment I signed up with Freedom Solar, everyone who worked on my project helped me and gave me advice. During my project, Bobby was always available. Alexis showed me how to do everything step by step. I almost didn't have time to think of a question or worry before Alexis answered. The person who did the site assessment, the crew that put up the solar panels, the person who put up the electricity, and the person who put up the monitor were all knowledgeable, professional, polite, quick, and understanding. I strongly suggest that you hire Freedom Solar to set up your solar panel system. Freedom Solar is a great choice. At least, that's what I've seen. By the way, even though the winter weather in Colorado has been terrible, I am saving money on my electricity bill, which makes me very happy." - Louis K.
"Working with Freedom Solar was a delight from the first to the last moment. They stuck with me the entire way, even when I had to wait because of pandemic shortages. There was never a moment when I felt like I was being "sold" or rushed. Everything I needed to know was explained to me, and the repercussions of my various options were laid out for me. The initial setup went smoothly. The staff was friendly and professional. Freedom Solar's team followed up with all the relevant agencies and kept me informed. The outcome and the process both exceeded my expectations." - Philip С.
"I chose Freedom Solar after researching ten different solar panel producers, and I have not been disappointed. I had nothing but professional service and quick answers to my queries from Robert from the time I made my initial query with him until the procedure of connecting my solar to the grid was fully completed. This system is incredibly efficient since it sometimes produces more power than I need." - John D.
"Freedom Solar made for an enjoyable working relationship throughout the whole process. Even despite the hurdles brought on the pandemic shortages, they were there for me every step of the way. I never once had the impression that I was being "pushed" or "sold" something. I felt that they took the time to explain all of my choices and their implications and that they answered all of my concerns. Everything was easily set up. The personnel was kind and informed. The Freedom Solar staff handled all of the required follow-ups with the different authorities and kept me informed. My expectations were surpassed by both the procedure and the result." - Michael F.
