In summary: System installed January 2020 The good part: Great equipment, installation, system performance The bad part: Unresponsive, poor support and follow-up First off, I am truly happy I had the system installed. The quality of the equipment is first rate and works well together as an integrated system. The expertise of the crew while they were here at the house installing the system was satisfying to watch. They answered any question I had in a fast and thorough manner. The performance of the system is incredible, especially now in the April/May time frame with the higher sun angles and better weather. My expectations have been met and exceeded. This part of the experience I would rate five stars out of five stars. But trying to get support and follow-up after the system had been installed has been frustrating and not satisfying. It took several voicemail calls just to get the password so I could monitor the Solar Edge inverter via a web link. Go Solar never did provide the instructions or password to activate the Solar Edge app on my phone. I quit asking after those previously mentioned calls. The technician told me there is a cell card in the inverter so I assume that capability exists. Also, you never get a live person when you call the local Reno number; it always goes to voicemail. Email goes unanswered too. The crew left a displaced roofing tile on the back slope of the roof when they installed the panels. I don’t have a ladder tall enough to get onto the roof to retrieve the tile myself and left a voicemail asking the company to come back and get it. Nothing ever happened. My house has a hidden access to the attic crawlspace. We didn’t know that until after I authorized the crew to cut through a sheet rock wall to get into said crawlspace. The hole isn’t that big and I was assured it would be fixed when the crew left. They never fixed it. I called once and left a voicemail about it. No response. I have since patched the hole. It wasn’t a big deal and I was willing to do it myself in the first place, but the crew said they would do it and then didn’t. If the crew couldn’t or wouldn’t patch the hole, they should have said so up front. I would rate the post system installation support as one or two stars out of five. I sent this review directly to the company first before posting it publicly. I have yet to hear from them in any fashion after more than a week. It appears they are not interested in providing any backup support or customer service once they have your final payment. Have photovoltaic installed at your house. Just don’t hire this company do the work.
Go Solar, is completely unacceptable. With the vast expense of this system I would expect some professionalism and customer service. That is not the case. First they installed the panels on the wrong side of the roof. Then they added the meters on the wrong side of the house. They also wanted to install the generator in my living room!! When the mechanical room that I told them to install it was on the other side of the wall. They trenched my lawn to run conduit and was supposed to reseed it, but again they never did. When they trenched it they cut a waterline and instead of informing anyone they just threw the broken pieces of pipe over the conduit and covered it up. This water line needed to be repaired in for not only my lawn, but field as well. Due to the lack of professionalism I have had to pay out of my pocket to get it fixed. I also still have holes in the side of my house. I understand the problems brought on by the COVID, but this should have been dealt with long before. If their employees would have been honest they would have informed someone of the water line. They did know about it, they cut through the line, laid down the conduit, then threw the broken pieces over the conduit. The issue with the holes in the house has been known from the beginning and nothing has been done. Like I stated this is completely unacceptable
