The sales process was good, they met what I needed, and they engineered an OK system. They set the whole system on a single String, even though the Inverter supports 3 strings with Isolated MPP Tracking. This should have been split up because I have some panels facing North, and the rest South. This will limit my output because of shading and angle differences. The Communication from the company has been one of the worst experiences. My project manager Alex Murro was non responsive, and it took several emails and calls before I would hear anything in response. The install was at my beach house, a 2 hour drive from where I live. The install was scheduled on a Friday, so I took off from work and drove down. The installers were supposed to be there at 9:00, so when no one was there by 10:00 I emailed and called. Eventually they got back to me stating it was to windy for the install. I was at the house, and there was absolutely no wind, and no wind in the forecast either. It was a beautiful day, and there was not reason except they either screwed up the schedule, or the crew wanted a Friday Off. No one called me to let me know they weren’t sending a crew, so I wasted my time, my Work PTO, and mileage on my car. For the finalization of the permits they didn’t provide all the info to the township engineer and I am still waiting for a status for the past 20 day from the company with out any proactive communication from the company. I have had the panels on the house for almost 45 days, and I still can’t use them. The most important part of a Solar Company is their Customer Service, and Communication. Any company can install solar panels, but how they treat their customers is what is important. I would NEVER suggest this company, especially if your rep is Alex.
We found Green Power Energy by way of Energysage, and we trusted and liked their system of obtaining quotes for our solar project. Our sales rep Tim was knowledgeable and always responsive as well as everyone on their team. Our project was installed during the height of COVID and had multiple hiccups but I still recommend them to everyone I know. We had a 12kw system installed and haven’t seen a PSE&G bill for 3 months and have built up over $1200 in SRECs to be sold. Loving our sleek LG all black panels. They also installed our level 2 Tesla charger, which we supplied, and upgraded our panel from 100 to 200 A.
We have recently installed and started operating the Solar Panel system in our house. In spite of the COVID related township delays, we had a great experience with Green Power Energy team. We were kept informed at every stage of the process. The installation was done professionally and they completed all the paperwork for the State/BPU. The entire GPE team starting with Sonny, Will, Kevin, technicians and office admins were courteous, helpful, and professional. We highly recommend Green Power Energy.
