"Unfortunately, not everything went according to plan during the installation of my solar panels, and three of them had to be removed. The utility provider had to make a second visit because of an issue they had produced. My payments were either lost or not correctly registered in the billing system." - Jordan B.
"After hiring them to complete a new building from start to finish, I was dismayed to find that they had twice failed the electrical inspection. No written agreement was made between the parties. One outlet cover had to be physically chopped in half to make it fit since the box was built so close to the wall, all of the lights produce a loud static noise, and no television connections were run. Due to delays, I had to spend an extra $4,000. This included money to replace broken outlets, reroute wiring, and repair holes." - Carter O.
"I have used the services of this firm before and was satisfied then. Sorry, but not now. The only problem with the PowerStream supply and installation was that they gave the supplier company the wrong ewr number. We still have not received input credits from PowerStream because they did not provide the correct amount of electricity. With the advanced technology of our brand new utility meter. It's the middle of May, but it was installed in January of this year. Because of the PowerStream error, we are still paying the full amount for electricity, even though we had a great system built. The whole point of going solar is to reduce stress." - Owen C.
"The Pain Is Still Real The firm itself is a farce. After I contacted them about my leaking roof, they said they'd send me an email outlining their plan of action within 3 days. Instead, on Monday at 7 a.m., a man texted me saying he would be by at 9 a.m. to have a look. Even after I told him I had to be at work by 9, he insisted on coming anyhow. Claiming he has nothing on the inside. Please elaborate on how he would determine the extent of the damage to the inside of the home without entering it. How could you possibly be that unprofessional?" - Robert J.
"Disappointing due to shoddy programming and poor customer service. Due to the low voltage of the 7 kW Jinko panels and the 5 kW Sungrow inverter, the inverter becomes very hot and struggles to maintain a steady output. There is nothing wrong with the hardware itself, simply a flawed system architecture." - Hunter F.
"PowerStream Solar & Electric's whole team, from the salespeople to the schedulers to the installers to the office personnel, was excellent. Despite the extreme cold and their heavy schedule, they patiently answered all of our questions and finished the installation before the end of the calendar year. I have no qualms about recommending PowerStream to friends and family." - Kevin H.
"I needed to replace my roof, so I contacted several companies about replacing or expanding my current solar system. The current installation has already paid for itself since it was installed 15 years ago when SREC credits were much higher. Most residents were at a loss when faced with the fact that the house required replacement solar panels. The solar panels were only down 20% from the new ones, so the kind staff at PowerStream gave me credit for the panels and inverters of my old system, which were still functional. They intended to recycle the old panels for use in stand-alone Amish community installations in the area. Before the roofer got to work, they coordinated the removal of everything and the installation of a new, larger 13 kW system that cost less per watt than a Tesla or any other system. The first work was delayed because of difficulties in communicating with the electrical inspector and PECO, but those problems were quickly resolved. After several months of work, the PECO bill finally came down to zero. With the help of PowerStream, we turned our all-electric home into a near-zero home by installing a geothermal heat pump. I am pleased with their services and would recommend them to anyone thinking about solar energy." - Justin M.
"Everyone on the crew, from the salespeople to the mechanics the owner, strives to provide excellent service. The items are reasonably priced. The LG solar panels and battery backup system are fantastic. This made it possible for me to purchase a solar-powered device to charge my vehicle, which has greatly improved my driving experience. The service was excellent, however the supplies for the installation took longer than expected because of COVID. The servicemen that came to my house were professional, neat, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. My switch to solar has gone well so far, and I give most of the credit for that to this firm." - Brayden F.
"PowerStream's offer was the lowest, and their offerings (SolarEdge inverter and Axitec panels) were the best. The necessary paperwork was started and a site inspection was promptly conducted (early October). Although the inverter was delivered two weeks later than expected, the installation crew completed the work in just two days and passed inspection. Final approval to connect to the grid was received the next day. All of this happened in the last week of December. This is important for getting the 26% tax credit in 2021. The team understood the importance of this and did everything they could to make it happen. The sales guys kept me informed and monitored the progress. All systems are in order and the real-time monitoring is fantastic. It was a pleasure to work with such a fast and knowledgeable staff." - Luke O.
"Our Solar Panels were installed by Powerstream in December of this year. The installation was completed on schedule and very cleanly, with all connections functioning correctly right away. Their team offered a potential layout and then collaborated with us to fine-tune it. Our results have been as anticipated. Although Peco's invoicing process might be more timely, we rely on them for our after-hours electricity demands. Powerstream offered extremely reasonable pricing for their panels and followed through on all of their assurances. One little holdup in receiving clearance from our TWP was swiftly rectified when we were made aware of it. We are quite satisfied with Powerstream and enthusiastically recommend them." - Liam E.
