Pure Energy Solar review

"From the very beginning, we were misled, and I have the paper trail to prove it. They misrepresented several facts, including potential savings, tax benefits, startup time, and more. After installing solar panels, it took them 8 months to finally switch them on. The woman who answered the phone lied to us repeatedly to get us to stop bothering them. We ignored her direct instruction that we get going immediately. They abruptly shut down the local branch without providing any notice or details to the people who were left behind with a broken system. Once up and operating, we found that our expected power output was much lower. We are now going to pay FAR MORE than our previous electric bill due to the solar panels and our SLIGHTLY reduced power bill. Until we finish paying for the solar panels, we won't see much of a reduction in our energy costs. We "oversized" the system even more. We are not alone; our neighbors had the same problems." - Alexander V.

"Good service is probably only available to Lubbock locals. It took them months to finally install our system, and now it's malfunctioning. It reveals that our electricity use is highly concentrated between the hours of 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM. The office and the salesman I first contacted did not respond to my inquiry. When I called SolarEdge, they gave me a case number and told me to call Pure Energy. Later, after calling the Pure Energy office, they promised to keep me updated on the arrival of an electrician. My battery, which indicates a surge in consumption in the middle of the day, has been charging overnight and draining throughout the day. Since they put it in the system, this has been happening regularly. Goodleap, meantime, is bothering me about a payment that isn't due until March. When Pure Energy finally got around to replacing my outdated outside electrical box, they performed a fantastic job. Up until I started having issues, everyone was helpful. As of right now, I am being disregarded. At this time, I cannot give the firm my highest recommendation." - Graham M.

"Thanks be to God, I stay away from them. They'll give you money in exchange for an evaluation of your house. I was eager to arrange a visit from Katie, a solar energy specialist. She made a number of claims that, according to any evaluation of a solar energy firm, need to be investigated. During a 30-minute sales presentation, I declined to sign the dotted line, and she became abrupt, explaining that only certain individuals are suitable for their program. I was going to sign, but I needed some time to think it through. After reading the comments, I see why she became so violent when I refused to accept the conditions there and then." - Neil L.

"It's prevalent in this industry to deceive over the state and lie about energy savings Pure Energy wrote the book. We asked all the right questions and got nothing but what turned out to be nothing but total lies. We got scammed. The workers that installed the panels had no business working on a roof, they did so much damage to my three-year-old roof that it needed extensive repairs. If I even knew 10% of what we were about to be put through we would have eagerly backed out." - Douglas K.

"BUYER BEWARE!!! I don't even know where to start but let's just say my sister and I both may have to get a lawyer to fight this company. My sister recommended this company to us and now we're both regretting it. From not producing the energy promised/money saved to forgetting to connect panels to a horrible loan company to our service suddenly stop working one day only to find out that we have an "old model inverter" which they never told us about and we've only had this system for two years! When they said they can replace it they couldn't get someone out to do it for "one or two weeks" which is ridiculous when you're paying for solar and then don't have any for one or two weeks! We also recommended this company to a neighbor that had an even WORSE experience (including multiple failed inspections) and we're embarrassed that we recommended this company. I can tell you we will NEVER recommend this company to anyone ever again. Our neighbors have other companies and have never experienced the issues that we or my sister or the neighbors we referred to this company have had. We feel like we're in a bad marriage now that we can't get out of but hopefully, our lawyers will help settle some of this. All we can do now is warn anyone considering using this company.
