Skyline Solar has received overwhelmingly good reviews from happy customers, contributing to the company's 4.5-star rating.
"My "locked-in" rate increased to unprecedented heights, and my expenses have never been higher. When I first got the panels, I was paying $150 per month, but now I'm paying $250 per month, plus an outrageous Xcel bill. I would rate it 0 stars out of 5 if that was an option. They promised a high rate of return on our money but provided poor service to us, the consumer. I haven't had a chance to see it yet." - Braden L.
"Skyline Solar takes great pleasure in scamming naive customers. The first step of their fraud is a computer-generated presentation that falsely claims you can reduce your energy bill by installing a solar power system, smart thermostat, and LED light bulbs. Don't be taken in by this hoax. My main issue is that a very incompetent worker submitted a bid on my property, and it was incorrect. Because I trusted them, I thought I was buying a solar system powerful enough to run my whole house, while in reality, I am getting nothing like that. After 18 months of attempting to remedy this issue, all I've gotten from skyline solar were false promises and outright lies. They are lying and not taking any action to resolve the issue. Their project manager assured me that if I pay extra, they would fix the system and make it operate as advertised. The renewable energy manager at Blackhills Energy claims that I was misled into purchasing a system that is incapable of providing my house with the level of electricity that was promised. My impression is that skyline solar had no interest other than earning a profit, regardless of what they sold me. And now I just get the runaround and no actual attempts to resolve the issue. Taking legal action is your sole option for getting this issue rectified and having a judge order them to do so. SKYLINE SOLAR IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED AS THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS..." - Erick K.
"My system has been broken for six months now. No one is answering my calls, emails, and messages, and I'm stuck paying for solar panels and electricity. It has been a terrible ordeal. Avoid using Skyline's services." - Alexis B.
"Ok when Skyline came to our Home we liked the idea of saving some cash by not giving to the power company so we were told by our salesman that we would have a 14.00 bill from them, we have had problems now we are paying 235 per month for both ave bill was 145 for the year I have asked month after month to fix this problem no call so I call the salesperson he says file with the BBB and he has paid us back some of the Bills back but every month I have to call It's annoying to keep asking when it's going to be repaired, and I'm worried that we'll end up spending twice as much for heating this winter since it wasn't done properly. Contact the vendor who originally sold us this item; he should offer to send it on your behalf. Sorry to say it, but I think this is a scam or at least somewhat bogus. Take Note of All This, Please." - Peter D.
"The salesperson, Rylan, was very helpful in answering my inquiries and taking my calls. No one else in the firm ever returns calls. Although I had solar panels placed on my home in October, it is nearly the end of March and they are still not operational. I've already spent about a third of my loan on solar panels that I haven't even started using. It's like having a car payment but not owning a vehicle. Trying to get in touch with the management team results in an endless loop of voicemail." - Hector J.
"So far, Skyline has been an excellent business partner. We've had a couple snags that have delayed our project's launch (through no fault of Skyline's), but they've been great about keeping us in the loop. They have been patient with me and responsive throughout the process. So far, I've been really satisfied with their work." - Roman C.
"I'm giving you guys five stars despite the fact that the municipal inspection on my solar panels has been delayed. So far, I've had a great time working with Skyline Solar. This firm is not aggressive, and they are prepared to become "nerdy" with me in order to clarify everything. Setting up the installation was a breeze. No money will change hands from me until the complete system is up and functioning. The potential of this method intrigues me." - Calvin T.
"Working with Mason was a wonderful experience for us. We could ask him anything since he is so well-rounded. Before contacting Skyline, we contacted many different firms to get a feel for the designs, pricing, installation methods, etc. However, Mason was able to answer many of our concerns and explain the process more clearly than any of the other businesses we contacted. This firm is fantastic and you should contact them immediately. I like that they are quick to respond, comprehensive, reasonably priced, and not aggressive in any way. If you're thinking about getting solar panels for your house, you should definitely contact them." - Lucas P.
"The first consultation I had with Skyline Solar went well. I had no prior knowledge of solar energy, but Lucas made it all clear and answered all my questions. I particularly like his patience and good nature, since I had to delay the first consultation. From what I've gathered from other people's testimonials, I know that the advice and assistance they provide are reliable and trustworthy. Many thanks!" - Thomas M.
"Austin was a pleasure to deal with right from the start. My husband and I had considered going solar before, but we never really went through with it because of the high price tag and the overly enthusiastic salespeople. Austin's sales philosophy mirrors mine from when I worked in retail many years ago: he was there to inform us, provide us with choices, and make suggestions about what might work best for us, but he never tried to force us to make a purchase. He took his time with us, answered all our questions, and didn't pressure us into making a choice right away. I really like that approach because it shows that he is interested in us as people and not simply in making a sell. It took us some time to finalize the house's paperwork before we could go forward with the solar system's paperwork, but once we were ready, Austin was there to help and walked me through the financing process in a matter of days. He patiently addressed my issues and clarified the contract so that I could sign with confidence. Next, I hope they start installing everything so I can see it all put together." - Luis K.
