"In order to switch on my system, they need to present documentation of installation, and it's been eight months since they did that. They have not sent me the papers they claimed to have sent. They have been giving me nothing but empty promises and falsehoods. State legislators and representatives have been engaged. Now I need to see a lawyer." - Richard
"High-quality solar panels can (or can be) installed by Greenlight Solar & Roofing, however despite their claims, the company does not provide any maintenance or repair services. Despite assurances to the contrary, they never get back to you when you phone. Mason, the CEO, has made several reasons for not returning my calls and has promised to do so on multiple occasions but has yet to follow through. The panels need maintenance, but Greenlight is unwilling to pay for it. Don't be deceived by the review average if you check the reviews' dates. Recent reviews have been uniformly poor. They're getting by on their former fame. Do yourself a favor and go with a different business." - Christie
"I would give them a negative five-star rating if the system allowed it. The integrity of this firm is nonexistent. Our solar panels and new roof were installed by Greenlight Solar & Roofing in the summer of 2018. Unfortunately, those rascals broke free the furnace's venting line, so it has been releasing hot, wet air into our attic ever since. We discovered the black mold during a home inspection since we are preparing to sell our home. We need to replace the roof entirely. Two roofing firms have given us estimates, and both have complained that the ridge vent they chose was too inexpensive to withstand being pinched off by the shingles. The insulation around the other vents wasn't removed either. Therefore, they performed a terrible job. Even though the shingles have a 50-year guarantee, some of them are damaged and algae is developing on them after just 4 1/2 years. Which is unexpectedly occurring shortly. Mason won't even pick up the phone when we call. All day long, my spouse was being sent to voicemail. Mason then responded to his work phone call with a slew of illogical justifications. They provide zero assistance to their clients. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! It's going to add a ton to your final bill." - MWilson
"The firm consistently fails to deliver on its promises. Lacks warranty support, doesn't reply calls, and breaks promises when finally caught. I don't care whether it was the sales team or the office employees; I had to hire someone else to rectify the job they completed nine months ago after chasing them around for months. The whole ordeal has been a nightmare that has lasted for years; if you value your sleep more than your reputation, go elsewhere." - Rayne
"In late 2020 or early 2021, I had Greenlight install solar panels for me. The installation proceeded well once we completed the necessary documentation. The installation engineer and tech were competent, and everything went well after I avoided interaction with the office manager. During the upgrading to the electrical panel, we encountered one major problem, which was ultimately rectified after consulting with the property owner. The solar panels are up and running, but I was told to hold off on buying batteries for the system for at least a year or two due to their high cost. Okay, then. I'm going to hold out and see what happens to pricing in the future. The second time I contacted you was in February of 2022 to inquire about battery cost and details. When I eventually reached Angie (the office manager), she stated she needed to consult with Mason (the owner) about the sort of battery I needed and would get back to me as soon as possible. That was a few weeks ago, and since then I've emailed, phoned, and otherwise communicated with Mason. These people have vanished completely from history. I was able to acquire a better idea of what I would need to install batteries by calling around to several businesses. However, Greenlight hasn't responded as of yet." - Tom
"Even though I seldom leave evaluations, I felt compelled to do so for this organization. The technicians were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient; they even helped me resolve an issue with my electrical panel. Mr. Casey Helsel came out to set up my solar panel monitor app and demonstrate its features once the installation was finished. Mr. Helsel was extremely kind and took the time to address all of our inquiries; he also provided his contact information in case any other issues arose. Angie, who works in their office, has been wonderful to deal with. She has always been quick to reply my calls. If you're interested in solar energy, this is the firm to go with." - Kinsley
"The GreenLight team is thorough and trustworthy throughout the whole process. We purchased a high-quality system (16 panels) at a reasonable price, and they were helpful every step of the way. They should do more to assist potential clients in working through all the nuances of how a payment calculation works, which is my sole recommendation for improvement. You have to do your study if you want to anticipate your payout on the system cost, which is hard. That's why I'm suggesting them to you." - Matthew
"The first power bill to be in the negative has just arrived. We seldom use gasoline since we drive electric vehicles (one fully electric and one plug-in hybrid), so this is twice as wonderful. Chis was a pleasure to work with, in my opinion. The installers were fantastic as a whole. Some worked with us directly, while others did so as subcontractors. They were all really well-informed and competent. We were able to take advantage of the tax credit since Greenlight had us set up before the end of the year. The completed system looks great and is functioning as planned." - Liam
"The City of Portland's stringent historic district restrictions made obtaining the necessary permits an exceptionally challenging task, which increased the complexity of our work significantly. Chris put in a lot of time and effort to get everything done, including revamping the whole array, and we ended up being one of just a few of such installations ever permitted by the city. They didn't charge us any more than they had to because of the unexpected difficulty, and after we were finally accepted, we were moved to the head of the installation queue. The installation was quick and smooth, and the electricity company took great care in their work. I would confidently endorse these people." - Jesse
"We considered three other solar energy providers, but Green Light Solar stood out as the clear winner. Both their method and their components are top-notch. It's reassuring to know that a malfunction in one panel won't effect the rest of the sequence. We had no problems with the installation procedure, and we are thrilled to be able to save so much money on our monthly power bills. Dave Wood is very accommodating, and if he doesn't know the answer, he'll locate someone who does." - Michael
