"Don't work with this firm since their salespeople are dishonest about the value, cost, and procedure required. We were assured that once we had solar panels put, we would never have to pay for electricity again. They asked me whether I recorded the salesperson when I called them to clarify, and I was like, "Wow, now we need to record salespeople."Unless you want to have two bills each month, don't purchase solar. In the end, this means more money out of your monthly budget rather than less. very dishonest advertising and commercial methods." - Calvin F.
"Poor exchange of information. I had my installation done a month ago, and the inspection was done more than a week ago; nevertheless, I still have not heard whether or not my system passed, or when I may expect to have power restored. I've tried calling for updates many times but have heard nothing. They're supposed to have customer leaders who can answer questions and keep me updated, but I've never heard from someone in that role. The salesman was excellent, however, the service was not something I would suggest. Without knowing when or if the system will be activated, I am now stuck paying for it. Do so at your own risk." - Erik M.
"HELL OF A BAD TIME! The 25-year, 100 percent offset convinced me to invest $60,000 in solar panels. Well, after 6 months, production ceased entirely. They didn't keep an eye on things or alert me to any issues. These panels have increased my monthly power cost by $9 for the last 9 months. A request for repayment was turned down. Basically, they are stealing from you. Solar Energy Detroit doesn't care a rat's behind about anything because, hey, they're earning money. If you must switch to solar energy, make sure it isn't Solar Energy Detroit." - Griffin A.
"CHOOSE NOT TO WORK WITH THEM. When I joined up with them in September 2021, I was told that it would take just two to three months until my system was ready to go. It is now March of 2022, which is six months after they were supposed to begin. They unexpectedly canceled my project in December of 2021, but I found out about it the next day and was able to get it restarted. I learned that my project was canceled again in December 2021, in February 2022. When I questioned my sales person about it, he said that it had happened to seven of his other customers as well. They are abruptly canceling people's projects without explanation. It's quite difficult to contact customer care. They ignore your emails and phone calls. They'll simply go without a trace. This serves as fair warning. You should stay far away from this firm." - Martin J.
"I'd give them 0 stars if I could, but I only have one. My brother had them put, but a faulty panel let water into the attic, which led to mildew and destroyed the ceiling. I realize that it sometimes occurs. This is possible, but they did not guarantee their work and did not offer to fix it if it happened. We contacted his landlord and arranged for repairs. After 4 months of contacting, they finally said they would charge us to remove the broken solar panel so we could fix the leak. Find a solar energy provider that guarantees their work. No, not this one. Don't believe the company's platitudes about its commitment to quality." - Chance O.
"This is a perfect place for me to tell you about my time working with Solar Energy Detroit. I was referred to this firm by a friend, and I was quite impressed with how well the staff met my needs. They came to my house, looked at the conditions, and then installed the solar panel that would work best for me." - Kingston T.
"My relatives and I have been working to restore our Detroit family home. Our goal in installing solar panels was to reduce our monthly power costs. Someone in the area recommended that we get in touch with Solar Energy Detroit. The staff performed a fantastic job at a reasonable fee. We appreciate Solar Energy Detroit's reliability in delivering on their solar panel installation guarantees." - Drake S.
"Thanks to Solar Energy Detroit, I am once again convinced of solar power's merits. My house was evaluated by the crew, and they determined the exact amount of energy output required to power all of my appliances. Solar Energy Detroit did a great job with the installation of my solar panels, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If I can keep it a secret, no one will ever know that I use solar energy to power my house." - Keegan L.
"When deciding where to have solar panels placed at my house, I'm delighted I went with Solar Energy Detroit. The precision and accuracy with which they accomplish it astounded me. They are ideal for any purpose, whether it is determining the optimal location for panel installation or calculating the required energy output to power a home's electrical appliances." - Mateo E.
"The people at Solar Energy Detroit were really kind and helpful to me. When I originally contacted them to install solar panels, they immediately put me at ease. My property was thoroughly examined by the solar power crew before they installed the necessary equipment. In general, working with Solar Energy Detroit has been a pleasure." - Tucker W.
facebook.com This solar energy company's Facebook page has branding elements, some media (logo, photographs, videos), and links to the main site. Since there are just a handful of posts from over two years ago, it's safe to assume that the page is seldom updated. There are just 15 subscribers and very little public information about the company. Although the tone of the page seems businesslike at first glance, the small number of subscribers belies the reality that this company has not put much thought into its social media strategy. The website consists mostly of visual content, such as photos and videos. |
