"If I could, I would give it no stars at all. Their system is covered by a 10-year guarantee, but the inverter is not (since, they claim, it is made by a separate company). Without the inverter, the sun's energy can not be turned into usable electricity. After purchasing the 28 panels and receiving excessive consumption alerts from SDGE, I began receiving monthly bills in the range of $400-$600. My true-up from the previous year was well over $3000. For six months, I attempted to get in touch with Baker electric. Every time I called, I was promised someone would get back to me after I left a message with their answering service or a representative. When my inverter still was not operating correctly after six months, I got an email about it. In a subsequent email, Baker explains that the malfunctioning inverter is the responsibility of the manufacturer. My monthly charge has been reduced to $65 once again." - Huynh
"My system was built in 2019, and now they are trying to charge me extra for a 4G transmitter since the ones they put in are so old that they are obsolete. Asking for $30k in repairs and then asking for payment for maintenance stuff so soon after is quite unethical. I will never use or suggest them again." - Andrew
"The staff was excellent, then. But the administration and support are terrible. No one will talk to you. After the job is done, perhaps you will not have any more needs. I have been waiting for days for a reply." - Sage
"In violation of the National 1978 Repair, Renovate, and Painting Act, which mandates that Baker Electric be lead based certified in order to undertake such work, the company arrived up at my home to fix my "1950s" lighting. Baker Electric has refused to provide me with the name of the "work" person who came to my home at the request of my landlord, Christine Lombardo, who is notorious for employing unlicensed contractors and defrauding local governments and the State of California out of contracting fees and, more importantly, safe practices designed to protect the tenants she does not care about. My lights were being turned on and off in the living room by the same individual I had advised not to enter my house because he did not have a certified lead contractors license to undertake repair work. As soon as I saw they were trespassing, I phoned the Vista Sheriff to report it. Strangely, if the contractor and landlord Christine Lombardo believed they were in the right to be on the property and were doing necessary repairs without malice, they both departed before the Sheriff came." - Mark
"Not a good idea if you live in an apartment building. Electrician arrived on 4/7 after I asked for a price on 2/23. Since his vehicle was too big to park in my spot, he stayed in it the whole time. He asked me to rehash the job for him so he could decline it while still in the car. After 1.5 months, completely." - Alvin
"On a Saturday night at 7 o'clock, we had a young guy come to check on the heater after we noticed a strong gas odor in the home. We were both surprised and appreciative that he came out the same day we phoned rather than waiting until Monday. He was straightforward and kind in his interactions. Excellent business." - Alexandra
"Added solar panels and heating/cooling systems. Baker has been professional throughout the whole process. We were regularly updated on the situation. The delay in completing the roof was weather-related and caused a minor setback. Among the finest in terms of value for money and overall quality. Absolutely necessary." - Ernesto
"Baker Electric has restored my LG Solar Battery to full functionality. Over a year ago, Sullivan Solar, which is no longer in business, placed my battery in hibernation, so I phoned Baker to see if they could assist. Baker's David knew just what to do to get my system up and running again, plus he went the additional mile by speaking with Solar Edge. I strongly suggest Sullivan Solars to anybody who is in a same situation as I am." - Cliff
"Baker Electric is run by the Baker family. Mr. Baker, despite his age, is very helpful and willing to jump in wherever he is needed. His team is tiny, but very competent. I needed an electrician when covid was in epidemic proportions. As is customary for him, he answered his mobile phone at work. I described my predicament to him, and Covid or not, he promised to investigate possible solutions. Our community is remote and difficult to reach. To his word, he made good. A call came to me within a few days and we resumed normal operations. Excellent quality at a reasonable price was achieved." - Charles
"Baker Electric renovated my service panel, built a solar energy system, and set up a Mitsubishi split air conditioner in my home. All of the installers on each job were terrific, and the work was completed promptly and expertly. The office personnel was also fantastic, keeping me informed at all times. Baker Electric comes highly suggested by me." - Ricky
