"I walked up to the counter and asked the kind woman working there about the Helios solar panels. When I asked her about the system, she said the best source of information would be the design team. I believed her, so I paid a hundred bucks to ask my questions to the design team. The horror story starts here. When I first got my design, I emailed the design team four times. None of the Helios design team ever responded to me. Imagine how difficult it would be to contact a representative later in the project if it's hard to do so now. I should have read the feedback before starting the design process. On that basis, Helios is not something I would recommend." - Benjamin T.
"I decided to purchase a 9.6 kW system. I placed my purchase online and it was processed quickly and easily. Unfortunately, that's where the good times ended. I ran into some questions. I made about 6 attempts to get a Helios representative to contact me through my account. Kelly managed to leave me one voice message without giving me an extension. She promised to call back and let me know about her free time. That never happened. The help I needed arrived a few days later. He had no answers to my questions and referred me to a notice that said installation was not possible. No explanation was given. He was also stunned at the lack of a scheduled site assessment. After waiting 24 hours, I decided to cancel the transaction. Because of my negative experience with the pre-installation and purchase process, I would not recommend Helios. I expect the same after installation." - Gabriel U.
"The worst possible thing. After two months, they still haven't submitted the necessary paperwork to my utility provider to activate the system. My roof has now begun leaking around where the panels were put. After contacting Helios, I was informed to sign a site visit agreement and that a representative will get in touch with me within 2 days to arrange for repairs. Nobody has attempted to get in touch with me. My project's supposed adviser, is a total dud. I've tried to reach him more than thirty times, but have been unsuccessful; neither my calls nor my emails have been responded. I'm in the midst of interviewing potential legal counsel." - Christian B.
"Getting on their agenda takes a long time. At long last, someone has arrived to inspect the installation. Finally, they vanished. We were able to have solar panels installed after months of phone conversations. They drilled many holes in the roof without hitting any rafters, thus we had a huge leak the day after installation. Then, it was a huge hassle to arrange for repairs. We have no idea whether the leaks were properly fixed, and we may discover dry rot in the future. The worst customer service we've ever had from a business. The Helios Solar route is the one to choose if you want to be constantly stressed out." - Nathan M.
"After buying a home equipped with solar panels and a power purchase agreement (PPA), I was automatically enrolled in a contract. To my dismay, I have not been saving nearly enough. Since Helios Solar is still paying us the same amount per month as the prior owner, I requested whether our consumption might be reevaluated. Nothing Helios Solar does is helpful. I inquired about a buyout and was given a figure that was comparable to what I would pay over the next decade if I just left the solar panels installed and continued making payments of more than $300 monthly. Helios Solar is not the way to go. They're useless! As far as I can tell, they're not interested in lending a hand. Terrible service to customers. They make no effort to assist you. I’m really just trying to avoid more discussion." - Jackson E.
"We had never done any solar-related study before, and we felt completely lost in the sea of available data. Although all the firms we contacted for estimates turned out to be competent, Helios particularly stood out due to the personal, knowledgeable service we received. They listened carefully to our concerns, provided all the information we requested, and made solid suggestions based on their knowledge and experience. We're thrilled with our system, and their support team has been helpful every time we've had a query since installation. Having a reliable business on your side is reassuring when embarking on a massive undertaking like this. If possible, we'd give it six stars." - Matthew E.
"Helios was the company we originally installed with. They handled everything themselves, and it succeeded. They kept watching and fixing it up after they put it in. When they saw anything, they'd give us a call to let us know. Helios would keep us apprised of developments, and then arrange a convenient time to visit and handle everything without our involvement. Helios was engaged in every step of the construction process for our new house. The greatest possible array was put in place. We need more space, desperately. Unfortunately, Consumers Energy did not provide us access when it was time to turn on the system. They said we couldn't utilize the full capacity of the system. I drive a Bolt EV, and we anticipated using the whole solar array and more. Helios was all over it. They were in charge of all interactions with Customers. They completed the task with courtesy and efficiency. This has been the best experience of my life." - David G.
"After checking out many businesses through the BBB, we decided to get in touch with Helios Solar. We looked for a firm with a strong reputation and at least ten years of experience serving the Michigan area. We spoke with three different businesses. By a long shot, Helios Solar was the best. From our initial contact with them, we were impressed by their professionalism and expertise throughout the whole process of having solar panels installed on our home's roof. They provided us with an abundance of information that was both helpful and informative. We had no trouble getting answers to our queries from either of them, and they coordinated with Consumers Energy to have us hooked up to the power grid in record time. To anybody thinking about getting solar panels put, I give my enthusiastic recommendation of Helios Solar. This has been an amazing opportunity." - Andrew R.
"Despite a brief delay caused by the pandemic, Helios Solar was able to install our sixteen rooftop panels in less than a day, and they were ready to go by about June 2, 2021. Since then, there have been zero issues. We obtained a much cheaper quote, but this one was still fair. With our wifi, we can check up on the output data from our 6 kilowatt Enphase panels and microinverters at any time. Joseph provided us with a comprehensive overview of the planned project and was very helpful in the planning stages. If you're looking for a solar panel installation company, Helios Solar is your best bet." - James F.
"Helios Solar installed solar panels in two of my homes. Both installations were done expertly and according to the original estimate. Throughout the projects, I had the pleasure of working closely with people who were patient with my many inquiries. They replaced the faulty inverter in my first assignment promptly and at minimal cost. If the need or opportunity arises, I will use their services again, and I have no qualms about recommending them to others. The 9 kW array consisted of 24 solar panels mounted on the roof." - Ryan I.
