"The materials and workmanship from Solaron are of the lowest grade. For starters, despite their assurances that the pool can be heated to above 90 degrees, it never gets hotter than 83 degrees since they didn't install enough panels. Their solar pool's plastic switch failed less than a year after we built it. The total cost to replace it with new components and labor was over $460. We've had issues with their panels failing ever since, around once every two years." - Sam
"They have a sweet person that answers the phone when you call, but after that, things go downhill quickly. They never return your calls, making it seem as though they have lost interest.I take it they want me to go.I would never suggest the firm who installed my soler pool and electrical panels.Better employers out there will treat you fairly. However, not this one." - Marshall
"If your solar panel system isn't still under warranty, good luck finding someone to come repair it. After calling today, I was informed that the earliest appointment would be in one month." - Mark
"Use these individuals if you want a sloppy installation using cheap materials. If you want to waste ten grand on a new, leaky roof, hire these slackers. Use these folks if you want a corporation that doesn't accept responsibility for their errors or damages. Use these individuals if you want your money kept and the issue they created not fixed. If you're looking for a firm that will offer you $1,000 in compensation after you've already spent $10,000 correcting the damage they did but will then fail to follow through and pay you, this is the one for you. Use ANYONE ELSE if you want a quality installation completed at a fair price by a reputable business that guarantees its work." - Leanne
"Bad support after the sale. Guarantees that don't deliver on their promises, and the same "sorry, not covered" response when customers contact for routine maintenance. After weeks of waiting and unreturned phone calls, they finally send a contractor who, after troubleshooting, replaces components in the wrong orientation, rendering the system inoperable (and promptly billing me for the repair call). Contractor estimates repair costs of $500 due to faulty installation of purchased components. We had to hire a separate company to come fix the valves and other things that were supposed to be covered by the warranty when we bought the house. Dealing with these knuckleheads was a complete waste of time and money. Now I am receiving calls from collection agencies at odd hours of the day, and emails with bad language and spelling purporting to come from the organization. Is this the dream of Ron Harbeck, the president of the company? Say anything up front to complete the transaction, then behave like a sleazy used-car salesman afterward? Avoid doing business with this firm if you value your privacy. Do not put your trust on illegible handwriting in a contract. Do not fall victim to annoying sales calls. Be wary of contractors that promise to "take care of your service call after the sale" but really have no idea what they're doing. Be wary if presented with a choice to utilize Solaron." - Debra
"We've had our pool for nearly 15 years and have frequently considered investigating solar heat, but haven't gotten around to it. My ailments necessitated that the water in my pool be heated. After reading their glowing ratings on Google and Yelp, we reached out to Solaron. Darren came out, showed us their wares, and gave us a price. It was a lot cheaper than we had anticipated! In June, we had solar panels put, and the workers who did it were prompt, thorough, and kind. They showed us how to operate everything, and they remained for a while to make sure we were satisfied. After a week, there was a little leak, which was quickly remedied. Since then, there have been zero problems. It's SO RELAXING IN MY POOL! It's the next best thing to living in Hawaii. Keeping the temperature between 80 and 85 degrees has not required me to operate my equipment for longer. It may be much hotter than that, but that is the sweet spot for me. Call Solaron now if you're thinking about installing solar pool heating." - Bruno
"Our new solar panels and updated pool pump were expertly installed by Solaron. The advertised price was much lower than that of numerous rivals. Darrin showed me examples of other solar panels and explained why the Heliocol panels were better. It was a pleasure working with the installation crew. Our pool temperature has risen from a summertime normal of 78 degrees to late-afternoon highs of 90 degrees. Nighttime cooling processes cause the pool temperature to drop to about 81–82 degrees by morning." - Cora
"Solaron is heating our second pool for us. It's easy to see why. They use a highly trained staff to set up the cutting-edge technology they utilize (Heliocoil). After we called, Russ came out the next week to have a look at our pool and property. He has a firm grasp of the science behind the system's operation and provided us with a reasonable quote. The installation staff arrived promptly and got the job done quickly. Mike is highly informed, and he took the time to show us how to run the pool and heater. If you're thinking about heating your pool, you should definitely go with Solaron." - Ruby
"I shopped around for prices from other providers when it was time to replace the solar panels on my pool. The Solaron sales rep who came out and described the various products' differences left a good impression on me. To be sure I was making the best decision, I looked into it myself and spoke with my pool man. His recommendation? Choose Solaron since they are trustworthy and provide a superior product. The contractor was kind and thorough, arriving on time for the scheduled installation. When he was finished, he taught me how to use the system. They come with my highest recommendation." - Prescott.
"Solaron was recommended to my spouse and I by our pool service technician. New copper and aluminum solar panels were required, as well as new plumbing on the roof and a new solar pump and controller. Ron, a kind and quite competent guy, came out immediately to provide us with an estimate that we considered to be reasonable. Within a month, they were able to begin the project, and it was completed the following day. The head of construction (Keith) took the time to teach my husband the ropes after they were finished. After that, Keith was reachable by phone if concerns arose. Once, he returned to our house to provide even more assistance. The contract was set out professionally, and the finished job met our expectations, therefore we have no qualms about recommending them for solar system-related tasks." - Oberon
