"Normally, I would not do this since it is not necessary, but this firm has a history of harassing its employees and customers. They usually phone me once or twice a day. They continue to bother me daily despite my repeated requests that they remove my number from their calling list. The salespeople were so nasty that I did not even bother trying to explain why I was not interested in getting an estimate from them." - Kiekie
"Overall, my experience with Brightstar Solar was average. The installation personnel was efficient and skilled, and the functioning of the panels appears to be normal. Still, I believed support could have responded faster to my inquiries. In a few instances, I was required to repeatedly follow up before my queries or concerns were addressed. Although the final product meets expectations, there is room for process refinement." - Edgar
"I had a horrible experience working with Brightstar Solar. The salesperson deceived about providing superior support and a straightforward installation procedure. The installation team was tardy and disorganized. The panels themselves have been underperforming, and regardless of how many times I have contacted customer service, I have never received a satisfactory response. Considering my personal experience, I cannot recommend Brightstar Solar." - Lillian
"When comparing prices per kilowatt, kilowatt-hour, and individual panel, Brightstar was by far the most affordable installer I contacted. For this, I contacted a total of seven potential set-up businesses. Only Brightstar did not use aggressive sales methods. They did not harass me with phone calls or pressure me into buying their wares. Jon suggested several things, but he finally let me choose out the solar panels and inverters on my own. I never felt like I could trust the other firms, despite all of their glitzy advertising and promises that solar panels would solve all of your problems. If you chat to Jon, he will just give you the cold hard truths. The setup looked amazing and worked well. I am pleased as punch with the outcome." - Kevin
"A colleague of mine from a few years ago recommended Brightstar to me. It is a good thing I did! Jon inspected the area and provided a quote thereafter. His straightforwardness and lack of b.s. was really appreciated. Together, our municipality and ENE crafted a plan perfectly tailored to our requirements, budget, available incentives, etc. Nothing major went wrong, and he addressed all of our concerns. When our funding was not available as quickly as Jon, he still found a way to have the system installed a little bit early and worked with us to find a solution. Engineer that I am, I am not a solar specialist. Having read a few proposals and doing some research on my own, I can tell when the reality takes a second seat to the pitch. Never once did I feel like that with Brightstar. My impression was that Jon was helping me out with more than simply paneling. For instance, we were interested in battery storage, but Jon cautioned us not to get too excited (yet!) since the technology's pricing and performance are not yet there. I give Jon and Mona my best recommendation and tell all my friends and family about them!" - Chris
"Brightstar was a pleasure to deal with. The wit, compassion, and will to please of Jon and Mona were immediately obvious. As someone with a technical background, I can attest to Jon's greatest strength: his ability to analyze your land and your requirements and provide a plan that makes sense. Actually, I received ten bids before settling on Jon. Seven out of the ten suggestions dealt with systems that were undersized by half. It turned out that Jon's plan and proposal were perfect. The unbelievable element of this tale is that I really spent less money considering the massive scale of the system. I felt very comfortable recommending my relative to Jon. He had to work hard and win their trust, which he did. I will keep recommending Brightstar whenever possible." - Chris
"The installation of our solar panels was a breeze thanks to the efforts of Jon and Mona. In spite of the competition in the solar contractor industry, I would strongly suggest using them. If you are in the market for a contractor, you should put Brightstar at the top of your list. Before choosing Brightstar Solar, I did my homework and compared prices from many other providers. I liked how relaxed and straightforward Jon was with the procedure and the specifics of the estimate when we met at my house. I appreciated that I was not subjected to a high-pressure sales presentation or rushed into making a choice on this project. Jon was excellent at his job, answering all my questions thoroughly and patiently both in person and afterwards by email. After we signed the agreement, he patiently explained everything to me and was there for me every step of the way. No corners were cut, and everything was completed to my local standards. Mona helped keep the paperwork in order while Jon oversaw construction on-site and coordinated with Eversource to join the grid and participate in the SMART program. My concerns were addressed promptly, and working with Mona was a pleasure. My municipality's electrical inspection procedure caused the only minor hassles and setbacks. Jon was able to assist get things moving ahead while my inspector gave practically no notice for inspections. Because every home and municipality is unique, I feel it is important to let anybody thinking about working with Brightstar Solar know that Jon is very professional and makes great efforts to work with the municipality to get things right and work through any politics, etc. that may stand in the way of the project." - Richard
"Our family is happy to recommend Brightstar Solar, who put in a 6.4 kWp system at our Spencer, MA home. Jon and Mona Reese, longtime solar industry professionals, own and operate Brightstar Solar. Brightstar came highly recommended to us, and we could not be happier with our choice. At first, Jon came out and helpfully addressed all of our concerns, whether they be related to incentives, timelines, or the relative merits of various manufacturers. No one made me feel rushed or obligated in any way. He gave a straightforward account of the situation. Based on our energy needs, the slope of our roof, and the presence of nearby trees and buildings, he determined how efficient solar power would be for us. Thankfully, everything worked out well for us. They were fast to come up with a plan and price it out for us. We immediately got to work on arranging the money side of things. They informed us of the many federal and state incentives available. We posed several questions to them, and they swiftly responded. After arranging funding via the Mass Solar Loan program, they arrived to begin the installation. The installation took a few days, and they were cooperative with the locals throughout the permission process and the exchange of our electric meter with National Grid. Even after we had completed our transaction entirely online and paid in full, they were quick to respond to any remaining queries we had. Simply put, there is no better company to work with than Brightstar Solar if you are interested in solar energy. They are convenient, nearby, skilled, and quick to respond." - Jon
