"We decided to work with Covenant Solar a year ago after hearing their persuasive sales speech. After just three months, we had already stopped seeing the "savings" we had anticipated. On the basis of seasonal output and use changes, Convenant claimed that the ROI required a good year to materialize. We've had their system for a year, and we're now spending $150 MORE PER MONTH on utilities than we were before solar! They "confirm" that our system is operating as intended every time I speak with Covenant, which is tough right now since they already have my money. That could be the case, but as we've now discovered, the price they demanded for the system is excessive! You should STRAY VERY FAR AWAY from Covenant Solar, in my opinion. Don't take my word for it; this review may have been written by a rival. Compare prices. Additionally, pick a business OTHER THAN Covenant." - tkurnik
"Sun Dollar Energy constructed our battery-backed solar system for us in 2015. amazing business. Reliable. Always accessible to investigate a system problem. The proprietor gave Covenant the business. Even when we mentioned that we could be updating our system and would pay them to do it, Covenant has shown no interest in offering any kind of assistance. Extreme cold caused our system to malfunction. I contacted or texted the service manager. On the coldest day of the year, there was no reaction. Fortunately, I was able to contact Dan, the previous proprietor of Sun Dollar. The electricity was restored after he guided us through a few potential remedies. Covenant was never heard from. upset and disgusted." - Andrea
"I would not suggest it since it was terrible. I put a lot of effort into keeping up my lovely flower gardens. When taking off the shingles, they didn't even try to avoid them. In less than an hour, they destroyed and harmed every plant I had. They were walking on everything with complete disregard. I am quite angry and would not suggest this business to anybody. No consideration for your property Although I have seen other roofing companies do it, they didn't even try to angle the tarps so the shingles would miss the landscaping. How depressing that nobody now values what they do. Additionally, I speak Spanish, so I fully understand what the workers said regarding my taking pictures of the damage. Such a disgrace!" - Ashley Godfrey
"Our most recent roof replacement was done superbly by Mr. Billy and Covenant Roofing. The standard and overall results shocked my wife and myself favorably. I would strongly suggest them to anybody considering new shingles since they did a fantastic job." - Bill T
"Louis, the sales representative, got things going. He was extremely polite and explained. Dustin Holloman, Billy, and the rest of the team performed an outstanding job installing the system in a very professional manner. They are kind and competent, and they will offer you their frank assessment." - victor694
"A great neighborhood business is Sun Dollar. Greg Resch and I collaborated closely as he walked me through the process of mounting solar panels on the roof of my Carrboro home. Greg is an expert in his field, and I was pleased with the team's collective competency. It just took two days to complete the installation, and my wife and I think it's working pretty well. After the install, there were some technical problems with WiFi monitoring that Greg helped us with. Sun Dollar is a business that stays in contact with you after installation. The Duke Energy rebate incident, in which Duke's website/server was overwhelmed on the application day, was likewise handled by Greg and Dan. I will be getting the rebate since Sun Dollar was persistent. I like their business because they are honest, diligent, and knowledgeable." - mschristian
"Great people from Sun Dollar were eager to cooperate with us. I'm quite pleased with the outcome and cost. When it came time to take care of a few little punch list things, they worked well together." - roessler.chris
"The Sun Dollar Energy crew did a fantastic job installing my house solar panel system from beginning to end. Because of my expertise in engineering and project management, I had a lot of detailed questions for the whole project. Everyone, including the owner Dan, gave me complete and satisfactory answers. The system is operating well, and I check on it every day. I'm grateful." - ichkienlao
