"I get a Generac Power Cell (PC) System with Solar Panels from Empire Solar. Representatives of this firm said that they were one of the few Solar companies contacted by Generac to market the PC system when I questioned them whether they had expertise installing the Generac PC. After installation, they didn't walk me through the system or provide me an explanation. Additionally, the PV links have issues, and I am unable to read the Kilowatts coming in from Central Hudson. Empire Solar has been unresponsive to my repeated efforts to reach them, and they never return my calls or my messages. Dealings with this firm should be avoided. The customer service is awful!" - Bill
"Great job, Alex. The installers were outstanding.Terrible and dishonest owners. as per mit filed. I had to apply on my own behalf. As ordered by the empire, I cut down the trees.wrong size of upgraded electrical panel.Inverter failed during the first week. To order a new inverter, I must contact myself. They claimed that second residences were covered by rebates, however the tax form makes this quite plain that they are not.My signature on nyserda documents was faked by someone! Worst of all, the system was supposed to generate 3,600 each year but just 2,400 in 2019. I repeatedly requested that they add a few more panels to bring the total to 3,600, but they never did. Awfulest of the worst." - Stephen
"Despite the fact that my gut told me to leave but I had to pay cancellation costs, I chose this firm. Sadly, they did not get a permission before to installation and obtained one afterwards. The downward spiral began at that point. It took two months for reports to begin because the system cannot handle the demand. Better yet, they stopped offering them at the end of 2017 when I went to apply for solar rebates on April 15, 2019. I purchased this system in April 2018 and have repeatedly requested the documents needed to submit a refund claim. You would expect that a firm in the solar industry would be aware of this and would not try to get older persons to take out loans that would be repaid with these rebates. That is dishonest business behavior. I've searched online in vain for their license for solar installation and/or contractors. Purchaser Beware!" - Korabel
"This firm is inept. They sold me a job they couldn't do (they don't have the staff to install, and I'm waiting for someone from their supplier to come to my house and show them how to do it), they tried to start putting in before they got permits, they had to store solar panels in my garage for months, and they wanted me to sign loan documents so they could get paid for no work. Despite their promises, I still don't have solar panels after signing the contract in March. Will, the salesperson, is dishonest to gain his commission, Nate, the scheduler, is inept, and Adam, the owner, is the worst. I've been lied to by everyone at this firm. Please don't hire this company—they peddle falsehoods. This organization said they will complete the task Thursday. That was two weeks ago, and they still haven't called to tell me they're not coming or when they'll lie to me again. Hire someone else to save time." - Michael D.
"Get organized. Agent meeting. The agent asked if we might meet earlier in the day to avoid long gaps between meetings. I did. Agent was late. The agent called 15 minutes after our appointment to seek a Zoom meeting since they didn't feel safe traveling to me. Holy crap! Again, I obliged. I informed the agency I was dissatisfied with our meeting setup. I plainly mentioned that it was a horrible first impression to ask for an earlier meeting because they didn't want to stay late, only to be late to it, and when they finally had the decency to reach out, they told me they needed to move us back and that he didn't feel like driving out to me. Bad guest service. I wasted time. Mr. Solar Powertrip stated, "I don't like your attitude and don't want to talk to you." I had to reschedule.Needless to say, I gave Mister Solar Powertrip a scathing farewell. No rescheduling. I'll skip those. If their product matches their customer service. They're untrustworthy." - Jamiroquai B
"When Solar Empire installed our 30 solar panels in 2018, they were a relatively young business. The price they gave us was far cheaper than the other estimates we got. This was made possible for us by reimbursement from the State and Fed. Now, we only pay the bare minimum for electricity in 10 out of the 12 months of the year ($20 plus tax)! With Solar Empire, we're quite happy." - KP
"Revised Review I'm going to update my review of my solar installation that was previously posted. Despite the installation being less than stellar and property damage occurring (as I previously said), Adam (owner) made it a point to visit my home on a Saturday and assess the matter firsthand. He expressed regret and promised to make things right. I may say that our communication has definitely improved. Unfortunately, because of the problems we had, I am unable to offer them a five-star rating. However, I will raise it in recognition of the effort they took to ensure that all problems were fixed. The fact that my solar system seems to be generating well so far also helps." - Jay Z
"Alex, Gina, and the rest of the team did an excellent job. Throughout the entirety of the procedure, they maintained communication with me. Very courteous and professional in their demeanor. The quality of their service has beyond my expectations." - WLangsa
"I am delighted with the work Empire Solar done. Starting with Mike Kusmann's first visit and follow-ups, the price, the speed at which the project began and when it was finished, and the detail with which we were given the answers to all of our questions. Making ensuring everything was right also required the help of Adam, Marc, and Matt. They are all excellent, and I am happy we chose them. While other businesses charged more and provided less, these guys gave us superior panels and could also handle the roof! Everything was available to us in one location, which made it much simpler for us to keep up. Our Con Ed bill has already significantly decreased, and we love having more money in our own wallets. I would advise anybody thinking about going solar to go ahead and choose Empire Solar; you'll be able to sleep easier knowing that everything is in order and you won't ever have to worry about a thing. Once again, I want to thank the whole staff." - Dan
"Outstanding sums up how I felt about my time spent with Empire Solar. Will, the sales representative, came to my home and did an excellent job of explaining the product and how the system works. His name is Will. It was very different from what I had experienced with other companies, and I would recommend Empire Solar to any and all customers who are looking for a solar system. I am grateful to you." - Mohammad M Rahman
