"They sent a technician out over a month after my previous review, yet the problem persists. He probed around. reported that they will be returning soon. returned and said he'd be coming again soon.... About a week after the technician departed, I received a text message from Green Solar assuring me that I was not forgotten. A week later, I sent a follow-up text message asking for an update, and..... lack of a reply. GREEN HOUSE SYSTEMS SHOULD NOT BE USED. DO NOT! STOP STOP STOP!!!!!!!! NO!!! Please DON'T! I have waited patiently for a response for quite some time." - Eduardo G.
"You should avoid doing business with this firm at all costs. Their service is polite and helpful up to the point when you sign the contract. After that, you can forget about anybody returning your call or responding to your message. They were quite enthusiastic about selling us solar panels and included the cost of installation and shipping. They use third-party installers to carry out the task. Because of our location's relative isolation, Green Homes has balked at covering the cost of delivery. The couriers have attempted to reach them via phone but have been unable. Attempts to reach them through phone have been unsuccessful. We've already paid Green Homes for delivery, now the delivery folks are asking for their cut. The delivery service is the sole local business of any size. Green Homes' refusal to reimburse the consumer for a service for which they had already charged is outrageous." - Patrick L.
"I am revising a previous endorsement of Green Home Systems. Customer service was great throughout the lengthy installation process despite Xcel Energy's unreasonable demands, but now that everything is over, we can't get in touch with our project manager or anybody else involved. Something that details our energy use was supposed to be sent to us. Since the launch of our system in February, we have yet to get the promised updates. Many attempts have been made to determine the cause of the delay, but to no avail. We have two open tickets with the firm and have yet to get a response. We have exhausted every possible solution and are ready to move on. I fear the day our panels develop problems since this firm never responds to our inquiries. Finding them once the project is done is a full-time job in and of itself." - Santiago H.
"The manager who replied is a con artist and a liar. Instead of 3 or 4 months, the project took almost 8. You subcontracted to suppliers you've never dealt with, thus there was a lot of miscommunication and shoddy work from the contractors you hired. I will keep telling others about your lame justifications and terrible treatment of clients. You authored this essay but didn't bother to apologize for the delay, subpar quality of work, or rubbish excuse your business presented." - Oscar K.
"Poor attention to customers. Unless I make an appointment and provide the sales person details about my house, I have no way of knowing what products they offer. I was genuinely curious but didn't want to spend time finding out if it wasn't the proper thing by talking to the person who answered the phone. Without an appointment, he either did not know or refused to tell what products they sold. There are hundreds of other solar energy providers out there, therefore I won't be using their services, and neither will my two searching friends." - Maxwell I.
"EASY! The solar panels from Green Home Systems are simple to install and will help you save money and increase the value of your home. Having a big home in Southern California might make it difficult to go through all the available alternatives, but Green Home Systems has simplified the process for me. Permits, applications, refunds, and installations were all taken care of by their staff. The panels are of the highest quality! They were helpful, patient, and professional; I have no reservations in recommending them. I've trusted them with many jobs, and they've always come through." - Nolan D.
"I am in the process of installing solar panels on my roof and wanted to share my thoughts. I am inspired to write this review now because I am so pleased with the first results. Getting started required me to work with my solar consultant. His talk was very informative and his patience in answering my many questions gave me peace of mind - just what I needed before starting a new home improvement project. In the second phase, my project manager Xochitl and I designed the configuration of the solar panels. We needed to pay special attention to the location since the remodeling was coming up. As a result, I had to repeatedly ask the project manager to make changes. She was very helpful and willing to make all the changes I asked for. I am quite happy with everything at this point and plan to update my estimate as things develop." - Marcus T.
"This firm in Indiana installed LG solar panels for me. It worried me that the firm was situated in California and that we had to hold remote meetings a year ago, during COVID time. However, the business was flexible and accommodating to our needs. The corporation had a team of local installers work on it. Both parties were in constant contact with one another, therefore I was able to submit my reimbursement request on time. As the surplus electricity is sent back to the local power system, it is evaluated. Although power prices have increased, my electric bill during the summer is almost nothing and my electric bill during the winter is around half of my monthly rate. Over the last year, I have experienced zero hardware concerns. The app runs well on my phone as well. The electric bill is the last word, at least in my book. This makes me really pleased." - Devin E.
"This quote was the fourth and last one we received. My salesman, blew them all away with his depth of expertise. He patiently went through the many options for equipment, warranties, and future ramifications to help me make an informed decision. He negotiated a lower financing rate for us and upgraded our tools as compared to the competition. He wasn't aggressive, explained everything to us, and is now a friend of ours. We have a working ground-based system thanks to the helpful installers. 5 Stars." - Jake K.
"My solar system was sized by Green Home Systems based on my use patterns from the previous year. Helped me figure out where to put everything on my property. designed and implemented the system. The local company that completed the installation did a fantastic job in only two days, which is impressive given the size of the system I put in. The system's commissioning and production on the electrical grid (TNP) proceeded well, however getting electrical credit from Green Mountain Energy required some time. Green Mountain Energy demands this procedure before accounting for your electricity output, although it has nothing to do with GHS. Overall, I had a positive impression and would suggest it to others." - Damian M.
