"Redline Electric has the worst customer service department! Redline is the most unethical company that I have ever done business with. I spent hours on the phone with customer service to get my policy canceled. Their workers are either bad at what they do or not honest. They were like something out of a nightmare. I'm a veteran who has been in combat, and Redline's customer service was the worst thing I've ever been through. Even after I paid off the contract, they wouldn't let me cancel the service. They tried to keep on a month-to-month plan after I told them numerous times that I did not want their monitoring service. DO NOT GET THEIR EQUIPMENT OR MONITORING SERVICE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!" - Terry N.
"In addition to noting the date on the sales slip, the salesman immediately informed us that we may test the system out for seven days. A camera in the backyard of the home wasn't installed properly, and the person who was meant to make sure it was didn't show up on the day they said they would. Six days later, the installation still wasn't complete. On the sixth day, we opted to terminate the service, and we were reassured that everything was in order. The equipment will no longer be removed or the service will no longer be provided after two weeks. We must pay for a system that I don't want and that I'm willing to let damage our credit, so I feel like we were taken advantage of. Since they've shown that they have no morals, despite the fact that this is a security firm, I believe it was a mistake to let them inside." - Gerald R.
"We bought a house in April that already had a Redline Electric system with a lifetime warranty that we could take with us if we moved. In the four months we've lived here, two major pieces of equipment have broken down. The Smart Drive that stores the history and camera video was the first thing that didn't work. The Smart Panel, which runs the system, is the latest thing to go wrong. I talked to the technician on the phone for half an hour, but all he could do was look at a list of pre-set situations and make suggestions. I asked to talk to a manager, but no one was there (imagine that). I finally told her that we had a full warranty and that I wanted a repairman to come to fix it. The best they can do is Monday; they can't do anything right away. I get better service from my plumber." - Harold T.
"I hate that I have to work for this company. When the salesman came to our door, he lied a lot to get us to sign up. I always feel bad about it. They never told me I was getting a loan for my equipment. I was told that if you move once a year, you get a free re-installation, but it turns out that wasn't true. Now that I'm moving, I've found out. They charge $149 to remove the equipment and another $149 to put it back in place. I can't wait until I don't have to pay this loan anymore. I should have hired someone else. I can see why they keep that salesman on the job. He gets people to sign up, and they can't leave until they pay off the loan. You can't just return the equipment. Also, when I told them I wanted to move, they suggested I get all new equipment instead so I wouldn't have to "pay out of pocket," but that would have added another $4,000 to the $4,000 loan I already had. That made me really mad. If you don't watch out for their tricks, they'll get you FAST! This company makes me so mad. Don't ever go with Redline Electric if you can help it." - Sean F.
"Residential Solar has been on my house for about 5 years, and this alarm system goes off at all hours of the day and night. Instead of figuring out why the alarm keeps going off, all they want to do is keep sending out new sensors. Last month, it went off twice in less than a minute. It was so annoying and scary to be woken up in the middle of the night. I told them I needed a technician, so they sent one out. Then, today, I got a letter from the False Alarm Office of the Norfolk Police Department telling me I owe them $50. Then, when I called Residential Solar and told the person who answered the phone, she wanted to give me a $15 credit... This is not my problem; it is a problem with Residential Solar. I wouldn't tell anyone to work with this company. I wish there were no stars for them. Residential Solar. Keep track of the days. I won't be your customer for long." - Austin M.
"We have enjoyed having gone with Redline Electric and Solar for our installation. There are many shady characters and empty promises in this field. Given the prevalence of shady solar companies, Redline's upfront honesty was much appreciated. I've heard countless horror stories about people who were overpromised and underdelivered by other solar companies, but that hasn't happened with Redline. We were given more than promised, and our cost savings are exactly as they promised." - Noah P.
"I'm very happy with how Redline Electric has helped me. This company isn't the cheapest, but that makes me feel better, and their fast, good service was well worth it. From making an appointment to the service technician coming to do the work, the customer service was 100% professional, which is hard to find these days. I will tell all of my friends, family, and other business owners about Redline." - Jeremy D.
"I've contacted Redline Electric as a community manager more than once for assistance with repairs or enhancements in the homeowner associations I look after. When requesting an estimate, the professionalism and response speed are exceptional. I had the good fortune to collaborate with them on tasks like enhancing the lighting on a monument and illuminating the vicinity of a pool. The final installation was carried out to a very high quality, and all work was completed efficiently and effectively. Redline Electric & Solar has my highest recommendation." - Christian W.
"Redline was great from the beginning to the end. They were able to bid on my new panel based on pictures I sent them, and the whole schedule was set up through email and text messages. The whole job took about half a day, but the price was the best out of all the ones I got, and they did everything they said they would. During this covid period, the only holdup was waiting for APS, and as soon as we got permission to move forward, they got to work. Very professional staff and the whole thing went much more smoothly than I expected." - Keith B.
"Because Redline installed our photovoltaic panels, we currently have no utility bills to pay. They always maintain a level of professionalism and politeness. We hired them to do work on the electrical system, and they are reliable and produce excellent results every time." - Roger S.
