"I began the application process in November 2020 and had a technician visit in early January 2021 to double-check the setup. As of April 2021, Nationwide has only updated its website with the latest information. We have exchanged emails and phone numbers. The emails have gone unanswered. On the call, no one can explain the holdup beyond saying they'll contact the project coordinator, but that never happens. Incredibly, they're able to stay in business while providing such poor service to their customers. I'm aware that I can shop around for a better deal, which is why I'm sharing my experience with Nationwide here." - Lucas P.

"Multiple roof leaks due to poorly placed solar panels, leading to rotted plywood and trusses. In December, Nationwide Sun resealed my solar panels (they're still leaking), but they haven't responded to my inquiries about additional repairs. Holding my breath for the ceiling to cave in. "How can I lodge a formal complaint with Nationwide Sun? For the last two years, we have been unable to use our solar panels owing to their unreliable customer care. They have now flat-out refused to provide a refund or account credit. We have been charged for energy or service that was never delivered. A million times, I phoned. They informed me they can't take the matter any further and that we must abide by their decision. A sum of more than $3,000 was involved. This is completely unreasonable." - Jordan R.

"August saw the installation of the solar panels. In September, it was examined and sanctioned by the municipality. Despite my fast payment of the invoice (>$12,000), the COA has not yet been submitted to PSE&G. Every week when I phone the project advisers for an update, all I receive are empty promises. The lawsuit isn't being pursued by anybody. Departments aren't talking to each other. It's been over 8 months since anybody bothered to switch on the solar panels. "Throughout the whole process of installing our solar system, it was a joy collaborating with the staff at Nationwide Sun. They have been really helpful and quick to respond to our many procedural and technical inquiries. Our enormous 20 kW solar array was erected on schedule, and our paid time off was issued without delay. To increase our electrical service from 100 amps to 200 amps, we will need their help with trenching and communicating with PG&E, our utility provider. It just took approximately a month from the time I signed the contract to the time the roof was installed. From going through the design with me to filing for the necessary permits with my city and accompanying me to the inspection, the team takes care of everything. It's unusual to find a company that keeps you informed at every stage, but they do. The setup process went well for me. The whole installation took around 6 hours, and the technicians made sure everything was working properly before they departed.
