American Energy and Solar online reputation

Customers have generally given American Energy and Solar high ratings. Many customers gave the firm favorable reviews, complimenting its services, installations, and customer service. On the other side, there were a few unfavorable remarks regarding the business, which mostly centered on higher-than-anticipated expenditures and delayed response times to inquiries. For individuals wishing to switch to solar energy, American Energy and Solar look to provide a great service overall.
"American Energy and Solar is not a reputable source for solar panels. The first rain of the year in October 2020 caused the first leak in our system, which had been built in August 2020. After a week of battling with customer service representatives and sitting on line, a man finally came out to repair the insulation and clean out the ductwork, as well as patch the seal he felt was to blame. We had a roofing expert look it over later, and he stated they did an OK job overall but not great, just "enough" to get by. Oh well. However, it has only been six months since the roof began leaking again. The paint on our ceiling is now visible bulging out from another source of the leak. Rather than wait around for them to return, we've decided to hire a professional roofer to do the necessary repairs. Absolutely the worst decision I've ever made and I wish I had done more homework beforehand. Stop using American Energy and Solar!" - Blake J.
"Bad service to customers. Our American Energy and Solar panels suddenly ceased functioning at the end of September. We contacted American Energy and Solar on the first of October and were given the earliest available service appointment of October 21 between 9 and 11 AM, which was confirmed through email. No technician showed up the morning of October 21. Despite receiving no advance information, we called American Energy and Solar and learned that our appointment had been moved to November 18. Take a look at all the one-star ratings of the company's customer service; they clearly have a problem." - Bryan K.
"American Energy and Solar, installed my system. Since I am now trapped with poor support, I cannot give any feedback on the company's installation process. The installation process only takes a few days. The support will last as long as your computer. It is a tedious and time consuming operation, but I have now changed at least two inverters. It took at least two months and several phone calls to get the order status on both replacements. Obviously, the customer service staff lacks the resources needed to get the repairs done promptly. Despite what I've heard, there doesn't seem to be a sufficient number of on-call personnel or replacement components. The chaos must stop. The shelves are empty. What good is a great installation if they can't provide timely service?" - Brian K.
"When asked for a quotation, American Energy and Solar showed they were unqualified. They refused to provide me a price for the system I had detailed specs for because they couldn't figure out how to use the information PG&E had given them about my use. Believe it or not, they requested me to create PDFs of the PG&E screens for them. Ultimately, I gave up. They have no idea what sort of connection is needed in the control panel and can't show me what capabilities are available for control (other than "uh whatever the app gives you"). Last but not least, the salesman lied to me three times about PG&E pricing and CPUC peak monitoring before hanging up on me when I showed him links proving he was incorrect. Dumb and arrogant to boot." - Eric I.
"I have informed the State Board of Contractors about American Energy and Solar's apparent lack of concern. They didn't even bother to respond to our request for contact within 7 days. What a reckless way to operate a company! My whole family room is rotting away due of their sloppy job, and the rains haven't even started yet! We intend to take legal action! If you're going solar, DON'T GO WITH American Energy and Solar. Yes, you will come to deeply regret this." - Parker O.
"Compared to the other estimates we had gotten, this one was surprisingly easy to get and cheap. The fact that everything is Tesla-branded, American-made, designed to work together, and supported by American Energy and Solar itself are all major selling points. Though slow and irritating at times, the procedure produced fantastic results. Our loan is far cheaper than our regular energy bill since we are selling electricity back to the electric provider and powering our own home." - Cole N.
"The installers themselves were exceptional. Complete experts in their field. They were well-versed in their field and took the time to examine our complex system (which included an 800-foot power pole, generator, well and water injection pumps, among other things). The technicians on-site, by the way, were great. The entire system was up and running in about 2 days after installation. Before they left, they made sure the generator was working properly. There was no mess at the site." - Alex S.
"My solar panels were just been erected by two crews. Throughout the day of the installation, these gentlemen were more than pleased to take their time with me and answer my many questions. The roofing crew took the time to explain a number of different concerns with my roof and their implications to me. I felt confident answering any inquiries about installation logistics or roadblocks. They weren't afraid to answer any of my inquiries, and they were upfront about what I may anticipate next. My installation process could not have gone more smoothly. These are the folks you should hire." - Cooper T.
"First, I received an email outlining the entire design, permitting, and installation process. Then everything developed as expected, with constant updates to the application throughout the development of the project. Once everything was ready, an installation date was set and everything was ready to go. The installation procedure was explained again, and small preparations were listed that I had to make before the installation crew arrived. When the crew finally arrived, everything went off without a hitch. The installers were kind, efficient, and professional. Installing the solar system was a breeze for American Energy and Solar as he turned it into a regular routine. If you're thinking about getting rid of your electric bill, you should look into American Energy and Solar." - Carson B.
"My installation of 40 panels by American Energy and Solar was done by a fantastic team. These people take great pleasure in their work. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They provided excellent customer service, had a good understanding of the installation process, and were a lot of fun. At first, they were worried because American Energy and Solar assured them that the installation would be done in one day. I was told it would take 2 days to install, and indeed it did. However, everything was completed on time and flawlessly. Way to go, band!" - Josiah E.
