Haleakala Solar and Roofing online reputation
In general, clients of Haleakala Solar and Roofing are pleased with their work. Numerous clients have praised the courteous and prompt customer service, the high quality of the supplies, and the staff's professionalism. However, some clients have griped about undeclared fees, protracted waits, and installation problems. Despite these issues, the great majority of clients have been satisfied with Haleakala Solar and Roofing's level of service and would refer them to others."Because they and Petersen Dean roofing sold me the system, I got in touch with Haleakala Solar. My batteries are not charging correctly, so I asked them to inspect them. They reply that it will cost $400 to look at it. When I inquired about the guarantee, they informed me that any Petersen Dean installations are not covered. Even if the contracts are covered with their names!" - Lucas D.
"When you need help or service, salespeople will brag about how great they are but will want to bill you outside the warranty. When dealing with this firm, be careful as they cannot guarantee the quality of their products. Also, there is a lack of communication. I apologize if you thought this was a free service. Please try not to distance yourself from me. You need to start a new business if you want to start over. At the very least, if you want to protect the image of your business, honor a direct service call to diagnose the problem. If not, start another business." - Isaac A.
"Haleakala did an excellent job of marketing, but once I "signed up," I have received very little to no information about when my installation will begin. It is already mid-January and I signed my contract in July. My assigned Project manager and my salesman have not been in contact with me for a few months despite my emails to them every two weeks, and I genuinely wonder whether they are still working. Since the permission procedure was finished so many months ago, even Hawaiian Electric is sending me questionnaires to find out how I'm loving my new solar system. I'm particularly upset that Haleakala isn't reacting to its customer, and now that the year has changed, I've missed out on the tax credits for 2022. I have received inquiries advising people to go elsewhere since I am unable to suggest Haleakala Solar. If I could have given a rating of 0, I would have done so." - Jack F.
"Using this firm for your solar requirements is not something I advise! several setbacks on the road! Due to the lengthy permission procedure to begin my installation (ordered in September 2019), I had to cancel two orders (a PV and a hot water heater). Given the amount of money I was putting down, it wasn't financially worthwhile for me to earn the tax advantages since I couldn't use the 2020 tax credit window. When I spoke with an agent (through outsourcing, of course, in the mainland), I made sure to record the discussion and let them know how disappointed I was with the subpar customer service they provided based on my sales. I know they won't listen, so I'm posting this critical review on BBB in the hopes that it may at least generate some attention." - Kevin B.
"In 2017, we put in a complete battery system with solar panels. We have been unsuccessfully attempting to access Haleakala or Petersen Dean since the inverter ceased to be operational in 2020. The phone numbers for Haleakala are inoperable, and PetersenDean does not respond calls. Because I had a warranty certificate for 25 years, I went straight to the manufacturer, but Outback claims that their guarantee is only good for five years. I have a Haleakala warranty certificate, not an Outback one. Batteries are inoperable without an inverter. Unless I purchase a new inverter and pay for the installation from someone else, $80,000 will be lost." - Jordan H.
"For the third time, they performed an excellent job of enlarging my solar system. They installed two Tesla Powerwall batteries in addition to another 12 panels to fully equip my roof and garage. With this new system, even though I have two Jeep hybrids with level 2 chargers, my monthly energy bill only costs $22. Even better, they connected me to a HECO program that enabled me to get refunds totaling $9000 for installing powerwalls. Their employees are kind, skilled, and professional." - Justin T.
"We needed solar power since we were also expanding our home. Coordination between the roofing and the general contractor's timeline for the bigger project proved a bit challenging. We decided on Haleakala after considering (I believe ALL) of the other options. They are a local business with a solid crew that are always eager to carry out the proper action and complete the task. If you're even thinking about going solar, I'd strongly advise you to do it." - Brayden R.
"The bad reviews mentioned here have me a little perplexed. My solar water heater system was recently removed and replaced by Haleakala Solar, and I was very delighted with the whole process. They assessed the work, provided me with a quotation, planned the project, filed the necessary documentation to the architectural committee of our community association, and described the possible tax advantages. Regarding the actual job, Mo and his staff really pleased me. They arrived on time, carried out their tasks safely and effectively, and paid close attention to detail. Mo was also extremely helpful in addressing all of my inquiries concerning the project. I was quite happy with the outcome. In overall, I would give this firm the highest recommendation for any solar requirements." - Luke U.
"When it came to buying solar power, I did extensive research. I made a spreadsheet and contacted several well-known companies that you heard about on the radio or saw on TV. Although some of the competing companies offered reasonable prices, their salespeople lacked experience and did not know the product well. Haleakala was chosen over another well-known company whose name means "teacher" in Hawaiian. After I told my salesman about what they had to offer, he came back and made me a better offer. I will definitely deal with Haleakala Solar again and will recommend them to all my family and friends." - Carter J.
"Thanks to haleakala solar, I now have a brand-new roof on my home in Hawaii Kai, as well as a solar hot water system and photovoltaic array comprising 44 panels and 4 lg chem 9.8 kvw batteries. I am very pleased with the results of all these upgrades, and I am grateful to haleakala for the quality of their service and the speed with which they responded to my inquiries." - Robert N.

The Haleakala Solar and Roofing Facebook page is well-designed but seems ignored, with just 20 likes and no recent activity. The page includes connections to their website and other websites giving information on photovoltaic technology, as well as a few images and videos of their solar installation operations. The page's content, however, has not been updated in quite some time. This makes it more difficult to depend on the firm as a source of accurate information, suggesting that it is neither trustworthy nor active. Overall, the page's lackluster popularity makes it difficult to believe that it belongs to a thriving solar energy business. | Haleakala Solar and Roofing does not provide a credible picture on their LinkedIn profile. There aren't even that many people that subscribe to it in the first place, and the last time it was updated was years ago. The absence of regular updates with new, relevant material raises doubts about its credibility. The aesthetics on the website are also badly developed, making the whole experience less than desirable. Due to its superficial treatment of solar energy and roofing services, this page doesn't inspire much trust. For this reason, Haleakala Solar and Roofing's LinkedIn profile is not exactly inspiring confidence. |
