"We first began this procedure 9 months ago, and we're still not fully operational. They have been all over the place, doing mediocre work, and communicating poorly. They put struts in our attic without making sure there was enough room for them to rest. As a result of the installers' arrival, a system modification was necessary. We need to wait till we know this won't ruin our brand-new roof. One installer claims it could cause issues, while another says it's OK. After waiting six weeks for the city to investigate it, we discovered that the fuse had been installed incorrectly. In addition, they have been taking money out of our account every month even though we haven't been getting any service. We now regret not going with the business that came highly recommended by our neighbors closer to the beginning of the project. I'm crossing my fingers that the strut support and blown fuse concerns be fixed quickly." - Sean W.

"I just purchased a home equipped with solar panels from Mortenson, and if it were up to me, I would not have gone with them. The company's customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. From the delayed response to the flat-out refusal to complete basic requests like changing the ownership of the solar panels or removing and reinstalling them so that the old roof could be replaced. For weeks, I had to phone about the same trivial duties. Compared to buying a house, dealing with this firm has been an enormous headache. Our total outlay for the contract's monthly price and the energy company's extra fee came to about $1,000. Does Mortenson go above and above in terms of customer service? NOPE. He was a wealth of information and assistance. Before taking Paul's class, I knew next to nothing about solar panels or solar electricity, but in the end, I felt like an expert.
