Our panels were placed by cutting a hole in the roof, but they never finished the job and now there is a leak in the master bedroom. "Northern Pacific Power Systems should be avoided at all costs. The installation was poor, despite the salesman's pleasant demeanor. They ruined my roof and refuse to restore it. Just look at the pictures. Worse, they first said they would repair the roof but are now denying responsibility. There are just too many trustworthy solar power firms to consider using this one. "This firm is a fraud. Avoid. Someone I didn't know came to my door to look at my land and ask if they could install Solar panels. He was quite kind, but to discuss logistics, he suggested we have a PHONE CALL. On the day of the scheduled call, another technician contacted me to let me know they were on their way to my home and would be there in 15 minutes. I expected a phone conversation, not a face-to-face meeting, and that's all I committed to. Even though I had said that I was not interested in buying and instead simply wanted information, I knew they would eventually try to get me to purchase their panels. This entire thing really grated on my nerves. This is a terrible strategy for attracting new business. I'm glad I didn't sign up for their service after reading all the negative feedback on this site. Pay attention to the criticisms! This firm seems to be just interested in taking your cash and running. You owe no debt to this firm! If they come knocking on your door, just ignore them." - Blake T.

"The worst customer service I have ever encountered. The truth is different from what the salesperson tells you. Even though we've been paying for solar installation since March (it's nearly June now), we still haven't seen any reduction in our power bill. Because we haven't been able to afford our power bill and our solar bill (which we don't even use), we haven't been able to turn on our air conditioning. No one returns emails or picks up the phone. They completely ignore you. We have proof (screenshots) that when we try to have a dialogue with them through their online chat, they abruptly stop the session. We have email chains with our sales rep/their personnel promising refunds; now they're calling us liars despite our providing them with emails from their team as support of our claims. After months of trying to get in contact with someone, we learned today that they won't be arriving until June 27—nearly three months after we were scheduled to be ready. Under no circumstances should you work with this firm. The claim is false. If I could, I'd give it no stars at all." - Hayden N.

Started to shop around for solar energy quotes and saw red flags like unexpected fees, offers to lower loan rates in exchange for signing on the dotted line, and an absence of expert opinions. Together with my daughter's enthusiastic endorsement and the county's list of pre-screened contractors, I decided to choose Northern Power. They started by giving us detailed timelines and pricing estimates and introducing us to their customer service staff. I appreciate the attention to detail they showed in obtaining the necessary licenses and other county paperwork.
