Customers that have used Renova Energy have, on the whole, been pleased with their service. The majority of reviewers gush about the company's attentive staff and high-quality products. However, evidence suggests that Renova Energy is a trustworthy and dependable source of energy solutions.
"A friend who has used Renova highly suggested it. The installation of solar panels went well, and I followed it up with the installment of Tesla power walls. It was shocking to see how poorly Renova communicated both internally and internationally. Their lack of availability and service to customers is frustrating. Switch solar installers." - Joe K.
"There has been no written confirmation of a final walkthrough date or time sent my way from anybody at your organization. It's as painful as pulling teeth to have a conversation with this organization. They emailed us 5 after their planned arrival time last week to say they couldn't make the walkthrough after all. This occurs after they have already been paid." - Sam D.
"This has been revised after reading Renova's two comments below. My most recent contact info has been updated in your system. After discussing this with my spouse, I can confirm that this is not the case. Despite leaving my current phone number and email address, I have not received a single return call. This is beyond absurd. Since Renova clients can only work through SunPower (who have terrible customer support), I have been working with them. I have no concept of the materials in question. I would appreciate a call. I have already left several messages at your office, on your Facebook page, etc., providing my CURRENT contact information. Please contact me at some point to give decent customer service. You made a passing reference to a single call that was never made to me. The lease is in my name." - Anna P.
"-1 Star....A salute to everyone considering installing solar panels. This has been the worst company I've ever dealt with. To finance the installation of solar panels, I explored their lending options. They pressured me into buying anything and then my solar panel stopped operating without being checked. My poorly installed solar panels stopped producing power as it started to rain. The PTO is then sent to Edison, and I can begin utilizing my solar system. Never before have I received a charge from both Edison and my solar panel provider. There has been no reaction to my concerns. And now I have two bills when I was supposed to have none. Even after 3 months, the electricity bills keep coming from Edison." - Tobias H.
"Due to their experience and history in the Coachella Valley, I decided to go with Renova in February 2020. Despite having signed an IID connectivity agreement, I have been informed that my system would be built as a closed system, rendering the agreement unnecessary. On the scheduled installation day of August 2020, my salesperson contacted me to tell me that they had discovered that IID was blocking the solar system, rendering it inoperable. Despite assurances that the lawsuit would be resolved by October and installation would be possible afterward, none of these things has happened. In January 2021, I received a full refund from Renova. What a letdown." - Wilson E.
"Renova Energy just finished installing a solar power system at my house. From the first meeting to the final tour of the newly installed system, everything went off without a hitch. Jacob was quite helpful in that he clarified everything for me and put my mind at ease. Jacob and his team arrived on time on installation day, provided detailed explanations of their process, and finished the job early. I'm rather pleased with the outcome. As a result of my positive experience, I will be referring Renova to my friends and family." - Michael P.
"Everything was perfect, from the first meeting to a year later. William was extremely helpful in answering my concerns and clarifying the process from start to finish. Throughout it all, William was there to help. The app is fantastic, and it accurately reflected my monthly use on my SCE bills. One year has passed. My SCE "square up" payment of $54 has now arrived. Yes, I am aware of when I am using appliances, and my thermostat is set at 80 degrees (just right). The system will pay for itself in under a decade at this pace. Consider myself a satisfied buyer!" - Joshua R.
"Since the billing component for new customers of solar systems is handled poorly by our conventional electric power provider, I started considering a Solar System with Renova Energy about 2–3 years ago and there was no viable (financial) option for our property. Despite the policy of our electric provider, Renova Energy persisted in their search for a solution and ultimately found one in the form of a "Microgrid Solar Energy System" for our property. Renova Energy persisted in looking for an answer despite the fact that there was no assurance we would approve of or buy the system." - Daniel W.
"We obtained a fresh new electrical panel and started our lease with little effort on our part because of this wonderful service. We get it for nothing. Not a single thing needed to be done. Our summer electricity costs have decreased from $700 to $800 to $167 for the lease plus $5 to $13 for the electricity provider. The individualized attention I received from Renova exceeded my expectations." - Jayden T.
"The folks in this group are amazing. Working with my sales manager has made my first time purchasing solar panels a pleasant and exciting adventure. She gave me extra effort and made sure I had everything I needed to make an informed choice since she really cares about her customers' satisfaction. Anthony, who oversaw the installation team, was one of the people I met. Lola at the office was so helpful with the administrative side of things that I don't even know how to thank her. In my opinion, everyone who gets Renova as their solar business is fortunate." - David C.
