"Absolute worst! Spammers. The corporation has sunk to new lows. 1. they tell you on the phone that they only provide appraisals for the Mass Save program and are not involved in actual solar panel installations; nevertheless, the installer who showed up said unequivocally, "I'm here for a free estimate to install your solar panels." 2. Two appointments in a row were missed; only the third one was kept. 3. Even after their person was here two months ago, they still contact me every day from new and propose the same thing!!!" - Christopher F.

"I must revise my assessment, alas. While the installation of the insulation itself went well, the company's failure to mention that the financing would have an impact on our property taxes has prevented us from being able to refinance our house. The actual cost each month is $100 more. We've tried a lot of different things to get this fixed. Please do not fall for this solar panel hoax; there are many other firms out there willing and able to finance and install solar panels." - Aiden R.

"The installation was successful, but my microinverters have been unresponsive for the last five months. I have tried the usual troubleshooting procedures to no avail. "Horrible liars and management. They called and told me that their energy audit was solely for the state rebate program. Immediately thereafter, I asked if they sell or install solar panels, to which they replied that they only do energy audits. After two consecutive rejections, I settled on the third option. The guy who came out was fine and quickly answered my question about installing solar panels. The third largest company in the United States. After some correspondence, I finally expressed my disinterest. They called me about a week later to to schedule a time for their appraiser to come, and were extremely surprised to learn that I had already been appraised. The same thing happened when they called back. Today, after a full month of waiting, they called me and repeated the same refrain - "We do NOT sell or install solar panels." I have never encountered anything like this before. Beware!" - David G.

"I asked someone to come TWO times. The first time they were late because they were trying to extend the appointment time. I urged them to cancel the appointment. They kept calling me every day until I gave up and made a second appointment. The staff contacted me 30 minutes before the time of the second appointment to reschedule it. Since I had other plans, I had to cancel. They assured us that they would work at the same pace. Later, they called back and said that the technician was near my house and they just needed to verify the location. When I go outside, I see that there is no one around. It was their feeble attempt to get the first appointment time chosen. Ever since I canceled the call, I've had different people call me daily. Yesterday I patiently explained the problem and politely asked for some quiet time so I could get back to work. They informed me that I would be put on their "do not call" list. ...Today they called me ONCE more. What I said to the previous person, I tried to gently repeat. But this Andrew didn't want to listen and abruptly cut me off. To think about it! I called the number again and asked Anthony (who sounded like Andrew when I first heard his voice) for the company's main line. He said it was the company's main line. A corporate man, he stated. I'd like to talk to someone in higher management. This clueless telemarketer abruptly interrupted our conversation. I am NOW officially filing a complaint. THIS IS NOT ADVERTISING, THIS IS HARASSMENT. I need written confirmation that my waiver request has been processed. I will have to wait for a response from you. I give you 24 hours to stop acting stupid or I will start considering my legal options." - Joseph H.

"Getting quotes from 5 different businesses was a hassle that I hope to never have to repeat. The first firm pressured me to sign on the spot and ended up insulting my wife. Despite positive feedback, the second one was set absurdly high. Every week, a different person from the neighborhood comes knocking on our door, attempting to sell us something. After that, I visited Home Depot and scheduled a visit from Solar City. Their software was adequate, but we want to have our very own tools. Almost lost up hope until my police officer neighbor finally got someone to come out and give him what he said was the best quote he'd gotten. When I dialed the number, an Anaheim business answered. It was Solar Energy Exchange. I was pleased that they came out to give me an estimate. After hearing that they could launch the system in under 90 days, I opted to work with them. The service, follow-up, and installation were excellent. Call them if you want to do business with a reliable firm that won't treat you unfairly." - Logan V.

They essentially did not care to perform what I requested and could not provide me satisfactory answers to my inquiries. They constantly pressured me to buy things I didn't need. After calling Solar Exchange, a representative drove out to meet with me. We discussed the various organizational structures. And I outlined my wants and needs. They were kind and eager to walk me through the process. They gave me complete and accurate responses to my inquiries. "The installation was done well and only took around three days. It took a long time to switch on the machine when the installer finished, but that wasn't their problem. When I first switched on the system, the inverter kept turning off shortly after. The problem was traced to the utility provider and fixed there. After assisting with the diagnosis, Solar Energy Exchange concluded that the issue was not caused by any of their products. Since then, I have had zero problems with the system's operation. "The staff at Solar Energy Exchange was really helpful and kind. For a long time now, solar energy has intrigued me, and as a result, I have a good understanding of what it takes to convert a house to solar power and how much it typically costs. I had them install a system in my house in May 2016 at a fair fee, and I am quite satisfied with their work. They did an excellent job of coordinating with Cerritos municipal officials to pass all of the city's stringent inspections and secure the permits necessary to build. Everything in the system is running well. My wife also monitors the system's energy output on a daily basis, but she does it using an app on her iPhone and iPad rather than on the web. Solar World panels produced in the USA and enphase micro-inverters are used in this setup. Their set up is beautiful. With the federal tax credits and the amount I spent, the system will pay for itself in no time. If you're considering going solar, they're at the top of my recommendation list. The sales rep I dealt with, was very helpful in responding to my many inquiries and was always quick to return my calls. Having been out of town throughout the solar panel installation, my satisfaction with the work done by the staff upon my return was through the roof. The office personnel was also fantastic, since they always got back to me when I left a message. There are several solar energy providers available today, but I felt most at ease with this one. It took a little over three months for my project to be completed, and during that time, I was in constant communication with Solar Energy Exchange. There is nothing I can say that is bad about this.
