"This firm has provided us with a bad experience. Our solar panel installers removed the furnace's exhaust pipe and covered it up with a panel. We spent thousands of dollars trying to find out what was wrong with our furnace, and we were left without heat for weeks during the worst of winter. Upon discovering the issue, the firm was more concerned with the panels' looks than with the fact that we did not have heat in our house. They also wanted us to pay to reroute our furnace's exhaust pipe to a new spot on the roof to retain the aesthetics. This wasn't the answer for us. We did not want to risk the roof's stability. They refused to reimburse us for the cost of repairing our furnace or assist us in fixing the issue they caused." - Joseph O.

"The sales crew is top-notch, but the people responsible for closing the deal don't seem to be invested. After a month of having solar panels installed on our roof, we still haven't received a response from the firm or heard back from the city about scheduling an inspection. "My folks will appreciate this more than I would. A solar array with a 20-kilowatt battery backup was erected. The job was "completed" by Intermountain months ago, but they just obtained an inspection today. We sent out Jake, who is completely clueless about everything. My mom and dad have been told three conflicting things about what the system accomplishes. The inspector took one glance at two packages and immediately gave them both failing grades since the blueprints were so far off. No one from that company will return their calls." - James I.

"We made our purchase in February 2021, the panels and inverter were installed in early April (the inverter was installed out of order and had to be repositioned), but Solar Rising has reported virtually nothing since then, leaving us as project managers ourselves. After repeated calls to Solar Rising to clarify the status, we finally had to contact another company to schedule the installation of our new electric panel. Four panels were installed on the back and sides of the house, with cabling left to finish. We have a 4-foot-deep trench next to our sidewalk and a 4 foot deep trench in my neighbor's yard that was dug over a week ago and has yet to be opened and marked. This week our calls to Solar Rising have not been returned, messages have not been returned, and text messages to the project manager have not been answered. This is a farce and has been since April. "The front desk clerk went out of her way to be helpful. But the company's employees and management aren't individuals you'd want to talk to! The staff is unprofessional in every way. The typical rude and nasty construction worker. These guys had been hanging around on the top of my apartment building for months, causing me and my three young daughters nothing but trouble. My apartment complex would be a better place to live if the staff didn't have any feeling of urgency about getting the work done. Unsettling, unpleasant, and inappropriate." - Benjamin H.

"A few days after I first contacted Solar Rising, a representative came to my home to assess my energy use and provide me with a concise, easy-to-understand quote. I accepted their quotation, and they completed the work quickly to meet my year-end federal deduction requirement. "Within a day's time, the system was up and running. Extremely competent, low-key, kind, and trustworthy. Did not exceed the estimated price. The government reimbursed us for one-third of the price, and now that we have plug-in electric vehicles, we can go to and from work without using any gasoline at all. We love our solar panels and anticipate paying them off in about fifteen years. We paid up $45,000 up front, but after filing our taxes for 2017, the federal government is giving us back $14,000. Other state refunds exist as well. Before moving to Cape Cod, we installed solar panels at our former home and immediately saw a significant reduction in our monthly energy bill. Our current home in Marstons Mills has 45 solar panels, producing 13 kilowatt hours of energy. Some went on the garage and the rest on the main home. Since Solar Rising is based in the area, they can provide far faster responses than national chains. Solar Rising kept in constant contact with me and took care of all the SMART program and municipal permission paperwork on my behalf. The technicians they assigned to do the installation did a great job and were pleasant to work with. Installers removed some of the old wires leading from my home and tidied up the side of my property before installing the new meter. In conclusion, Solar Rising is an excellent book.
