SUNation Energy online reputation

SUNation Energy has generally been well-received by its clientele. They are reliable, offer reasonable costs, and have received high marks for customer service. However, there have been complaints from some consumers about installation delays and invoicing problems. SUNation Energy is dedicated to addressing any concerns its customers may have promptly and with the utmost concern.
"We are a little let down by the inaction and lack of communication. We agreed and were informed that construction on our home will begin before the new year of 2020! Nearing the end of March, no construction has begun, and no start date has been announced. Who knows when work will start with the Coronavirus, however." - Ronald B.
"My husband and I trusted Sunation to do the right thing and adhere to all regulations required by New York State since they came so highly rated as one of the best solar panel installers on Long Island. Only one of the five installers who came to my house that day followed the rule that they all wear masks. while one of the installers became ill with a stomach illness, his supervisor did not immediately send him home; instead, he stayed at my house, used my restroom many times, and did not use a mask or gloves while going in and out. After being ill, I wasted additional time away from work getting checked for Covid-19. For myself, my loved ones, and my coworkers, it was a living nightmare. The installation staff requires greater training following New York State regulations since this firm does not appreciate the perilous times in which we live. Because of the danger they pose to clients, they should lose their licenses." - Scott F.
"We were assured that the system could be deployed by 2021 in time for us to claim the 2021 tax credit. Now it's March and I'm still waiting for installation to be completed. There was a complete lack of communication from the time we paid the deposit in September until February. If we had known that another firm would waive the price difference if the work wasn't completed on time, we wouldn't have hesitated to choose them. Do not release any funds until you have received written confirmation of the promised services and completion dates." - Louis S.
"Excellent Setups, but don't let anybody persuade you out of protecting your solar panels from birds. The bird guards should be installed by a professional service, in my opinion. Pigeons, in certain areas, may build nests beneath the panel. It took some time for the birds to stop being territorial once the bird guards were installed. Having things set up on the first day is crucial." - Chris T.
"This is the worst business ever! When they promise to guarantee your roof, they don't follow through. Before I hired them, they informed me that if they drill a hole in my roof, the whole roof would be covered by their warranty. This is because they will be working on my roof, and there is always the potential that their work may cause collateral damage to my home. About a year later, when I had a roof leak, they informed me they wouldn't fix it since it wasn't near where the panels themselves were installed (albeit it was caused by the hardware they left behind). In addition, the firm that consigns solar panels to Sunnation has issued a lien on my property since Sunnation has not paid its bill for the panels that I have already paid for. It took months, but the lien has been lifted. One of my neighbors is now persuaded not to use this firm, and I'm hoping to persuade the rest of them via this article." - Dennis N.
"It was a joy to collaborate with Sunation. We had a great experience with Sunation from our first meeting with Rowan, through the contract and finance process, the installation process, and even the follow-up support we received after the system was installed. The system was done thoroughly and without leaks (a few storms this summer helped us check this, LOL); everything is well labeled, and it integrates in with the roof and exterior. Sunation was extremely helpful in explaining the process and what was needed at each stage, from permits to PSEG net metering to town electrical and building inspections to receiving our Certificate of Compliance. Our system has been live for months and is functioning well. Our monthly energy bill has been about $13 (including the backup connection to the grid), and we've built up a stash of kw credits due to the system's output exceeding our use. We are happy to tell others about Sunation! Sunation is the place to go if you're thinking about switching to solar power. My family and I am grateful because they did the right thing for us." - Phillip L.
"On July 11, 2021, my husband and I had SUNation install solar panels at our home. We are quite satisfied with the quality of care we got. All 30 panels were put up in only one day. SUNation was there for us the whole time, ready to respond to any inquiries at any hour. My husband's new favorite "toy" is an app that lets him check on how much power our home is generating anytime he likes." - Anna T.
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Energy Sage for advising me to sign up for Sunation out of the three options he suggested. Indeed, a great option. They are prompt, courteous and responsive professionals. Pauline got the job off to a good start and the installation manager finished the job beautifully. They are a pleasure to work with; anyone considering solar installation should look into them. Seeing the sun." - Finn P.
"I have had nothing but positive experiences with SUNation since our first meeting. After interviewing a number of competing businesses, I am relieved that SUNation has earned its stellar reputation. Since everything is handled internally at SUNation, there is no room for finger-pointing or scapegoating. I am pleased to be a part of the SUNation family and will continue to sing their praises to anybody who asks." - Pablo W.
"The whole thing was simple and well worth it on every level. Except for a line use cost of $0.50 per day, I am no longer receiving an energy bill. Since I set up the system on August 7th, 2020, it has generated 2.72 Mwh of energy and sent 1 Mwh back to the power grid as a credit to be used during the winter months when there is less sunlight due to cloud cover, snow, and shorter days. Only on that one day did they create less than I consumed. Cloudy showers, with a high of 85 degrees, and high humidity. I get that everyone's situation is unique, but not having to pay PSEG $233 a month is excellent, especially since it's a lot more than what I'm paying for the panels. I hope that everyone will at least try it out and see whether it's right for them. They are sensitive to the demands of New Yorkers without resorting to high-pressure sales methods. They've been there for a while and are well-established on Long Island, unlike some upstart outfit out west." - Brayan M.
