"As of recent months, I have had solar power operational. Despite this, the battery I purchased has not worked for me. For the last three months, it has only served as wall décor; I have no idea whether it ever works. At this point, ESD has determined that the system is finished, and as such, will no longer be paying the expenses associated with the solar loan, despite having originally agreed to do so in the event that the system wasn't finished in time for the loan to begin. No one ever returns my calls or replies to my emails in a timely way. I was expecting an update in which I could report that everything was now running well, but alas, that is not the case. Don't waste your time here; instead, go someplace else to purchase your system. I chose ESD since the reviews were helpful in making my decision and the guy answered all of my concerns thoroughly. Yet, this has not been the case at any point throughout the procedure. Everything progressed slowly after I signed the contract. As time went on, so did the wait for answers. While the solar panels were installed on 7/4/22, when I contacted FPL about scheduling the installation of the net meter a month later, they said that the necessary paperwork had not yet been submitted. A week later, I heard back from ESD saying they were short-staffed due to a recent spike in demand, but that further electrical work was still required before FPL could come out. After two weeks, FPL told me yesterday that they haven't received an application, and ESD would only tell me that more electric work needed to be done. Getting anything out of ESD at this point is frustrating. The salesperson is limited in what he can tell me since this isn't his area of expertise." - James O.

"That was horrible. They spent four months getting the plans into the city. The delay in admitting their error after failing the installation inspection lasted for two months. They have yet to finish the job, and I must wait. HIDE OR RUN. They are unresponsive to all forms of communication, including phone calls, voicemails, and emails. I have had a terrible experience calling the business at every level." - George B.

"I'm not one to leave reviews online because I don't like being the consumer responsible for someone else's job being lost, but in this situation, I feel compelled to share my experience with solar power so that other people may learn from my mistakes. Although having signed a contract over a year ago, my solar service has yet to be installed. My energy bill would increase by an unthinkable amount if I had to start making solar loan payments on top of them. It seemed like there was a lack of communication and adequate turnover in their customer care department since the person who was originally working with me seldom responded to my calls or messages. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with." - Oliver C.

"The guys installing our panels accidentally sliced our tin roof by setting the rotary saw down on it while it was in operation. The rainy season progressed to the point that our roof began to leak. My husband went up to check the panel fasteners and found the roof chopped without his knowledge. We tried trying to get in touch with ESD to request maintenance, but our calls went unreturned. Later in October 2022, the bedroom ceiling collapsed, causing the most extensive damage. The roof was fixed, but it took three months. We have been waiting for someone to respond to our calls in order to get the ceiling fixed, but nobody has done so. I've also tried emailing them, but I never hear back from them. We're looking at different possibilities to get them to repair the ceiling. I'm at my wit's end. There is always silence when she calls back. The hole in my ceiling has been there for six months, and I don't think you've ever fixed it." - Jamie D.

"Six months ago, I put my name on a contract. The first setup process was lengthy. Half of the cells didn't function after installation. Unfortunately, the consumption clamp was put on the incorrect cable after the repair, thus it now only provides a partial reading. Despite repeated assurances through text messages, certain promised hardware was never set up. All in all, it's a bit of a jumble. There has been no word on the failed inspection since last month. When I dialed the main number, I was connected to a full inbox. My sales contact sometimes responds, but always only to mention that he passed my messages. My inquiries to the service department have been passed, but I have yet to get a response. Up until we signed the contract, I was pleased with all points of contact. Following that, I was dissatisfied with the final product. I get that this is a complicated undertaking, but it seems that installations aren't being inspected. Also, there is almost no widespread communication." - Thomas K.

"The fact that they collaborate with my electric service provider and the fact that they replaced my roof when it required replacing are both advantages of going solar for me. I appreciate the excellent work that you've done." - Alan N.

"In my case, the gentlemen at ESD Solar went above and above to ensure that my solar energy needs were addressed. I had previously contacted a number of other solar energy providers, all of whom attempted to overcharge me for an insufficient system that wouldn't even cover my cost. But, after speaking with the professionals at ESD Solar, I was convinced to pursue solar power for my house." - Robert L.

"One was from a local firm I trusted completely, another was from ESD, and the other two were from other companies. Normally I would pay more to support a local business, but ESD was able to put together a better solution at a reduced cost. The clincher for me was Ryan superb assistance at ESD. Sales is what motivates these individuals, but Ryan was definitely not a high-pressure salesperson. He patiently fielded a hundred of my inquiries, revised the proposal ten times with varying possibilities, and always responded promptly, even on weekends and holidays. He was very appreciative of my inquiries. He pointed me in the direction of the appropriate system, never once spoke ill of a rival company, and welcomed my feedback when I questioned their capacity to set up a system in my venerable 1965 home. My previous service panel has a peculiar problem that needs replacement. While I had siding installed over the concrete block wall, it was butted up against the panel when it was installed. As production of the siding had halted, the new panel had to entirely fill the space left behind by the previous one. My main worry was how they would repair the water damage caused by the previous panel and make the new panel appear decent. After reviewing the photos I submitted, he and his engineer determined that the replacement panel would adequately conceal the damaged siding. When he needed clarification on a technical matter, he consulted his engineer. Nick tried to get me what I needed and made sure I was satisfied with his answers, unlike some firms who would tell you anything for a sale. In the end, I was able to save myself 25% while still purchasing a superior system." - David S.

This company has zero competition due to the professionalism, open communication, amazing install crew, beyond-fair pricing, honesty ( which I appreciate), and the way they even follow up. Hands down the best! If you’re reading reviews wondering which company to choose for your solar energy... I’d say look no further !" - Jason R.

"To begin, I'd want to add that Callum, one of their sales representatives, is a tremendous asset to the organization. The roofing workers and the solar panel installation were both excellent. I do, however, have one major issue. According to the contract picture and our conversation, I know that Callum, the company's sales salesman, recommended installing the panels on the west side of my house. Having several trees pruned cost me $800. But, when I returned home yesterday, the team was still working on the east side of my property during the panel installation. After my explanation, they sent me the blueprints that depict the installation on the house's east side. I could care less, and the panels look nice. But now that I give it some thought, I'm a little bummed that I'll have to pay someone to cut back the tree on my property's east side. Which, I'm quite sure, will prevent my panels from functioning at peak efficiency if I don't. Overall, I'm satisfied with the results. I only wish we could have had better lines of dialogue." - Sean T.
