In response, I explained that I could check on my charge controllers when I was out in my solar room. I explained to Rob that I didn't want to leave the house, so I purchased a remote monitoring system. I had a furious argument with the owner, Rob, and ended up paying him an extra thousand dollars only to run the wires for the hard-wired monitor in the underground conduit. WHAT A FRIGGIN' JOKE! It's been 4 to 5 years, and one of the Outback controls is malfunctioning. Something I had yet to see in a long time popped up after several service calls. Owner Rob, the service tech, needed to be more knowledgeable about fixing the problems with the equipment he set up. It took three trips, but he finally pinpointed the problem as the inverter. Rob, the owner of Assured Solar, promised to return to remedy the issue but has yet to follow through. I phoned Outback Controllers, dusted up my FLUKE meter, and talked to Tec. Support about the case while on the phone; we identified the faulty component, I had it shipped to me, and the system has been running well ever since. I've been a contractor for over 20 years, and I can tell you that only some jobs go well. It's how you handle the challenges that reveal your true grit. THE SIMPLE ONES, OF COURSE! To be sure I was still feeling the same way and not overreacting, I waited almost two years before writing my evaluation of Assured Solar. If asked again, I would NOT use Assured Solar." - Martin.
"Both the sales and the installation teams are hard to get in touch with, don't follow through on their promises, and regularly miss scheduled appointments. I have been attempting to upgrade my system for over a year, and after several efforts with no success, I have given up and moved on. So far, everything has worked OK with the hardware, but I shudder to think what it would be like if something broke and I needed help fixing it.
