"When there were problems with the installation, they compensated us reasonably. Unfortunately, I have developed leaks in the areas of my roof where the solar panels were put. We have submitted the necessary paperwork from our insurance claim (which was rejected since the leaks were so little that they went undetected) but have yet to get a response as to when someone would be out to inspect the damage or provide any kind of update. We have tried calling back but have not received a response. While we wait for a solution, I've had to tear down a section of my ceiling and set up containers to collect the water and mildew that are falling through. Also, I have no idea how many additional breaches may be occurring. Considering the gravity of the situation, I can't believe we've had so little dialogue thus far. I wish they had taken better care of us. Discourage, particularly over the long term." - Patrick L.
"Working with Bluff City Solar Co was simple at first. The salesperson did an excellent job of breaking out the process. Although the installation took five months longer than anticipated, the final result was excellent. The time following the installation was the worst of our experience. After just a few weeks of use, our ten-thousand-dollar battery stopped functioning, and I have been contacting customer care for the last three to four months without success. Typically, no one in any Bluff City Solar Co department will pick up the phone when you call. When they do pick up, the person who is meant to help me always seems to be busy, so they just take my information and hang up. Despite my repeated attempts to contact people, I never hear back from them. Meanwhile, spring has sprung, and instead of keeping excess power in our battery, we've begun selling it back to the city." - Santiago R.
"Bluff City Solar Co violates the law by soliciting at residences that have put "NO SOLICITING" signs. Therefore, you should not do business with Bluff City Solar Co because of its unethical behavior. Rejecting this firm now would put an end to the constant pestering you've been receiving from them." - Oscar B.
"We have been customers of Bluff City Solar Co for over a year, and throughout that time we have had roof problems. In order to have the roof replaced by an excellent business we discovered, the solar panels will need to be taken down. When a roof replacement is necessary, solar panel providers will often uninstall and reinstall the panels at little to no expense to the homeowner. But Bluff City Solar Co thought it would be a great idea to milk every last dime out of us (despite if they collected 50,000+ already), so they're charging us $300 per panel in addition to a $600 service charge. It's already costing me a fortune to acquire a new roof, and now I have to fork out another $5,000 to have the solar panels removed." - Giovanni F.
"I don't recommend it. I refused at first, but the salesman managed to change my mind. 50,000, plus a tax refund of 14,000. Seems reasonable, right? Unfortunately, it doesn't at all. You have three days to cancel, after which you must either pay a minimum of $5,000 or the entire balance. It took a few extra months to get connected because the installation was complicated and there was a lot of going back and forth. They covered the cost for the first two months of operation, so that was nice. Truth be told, solar power is still too expensive, and you will be charged for at least the first two years. Wait at least five years before you think about it." - Maxwell W.
"The solar panels from our old home needed to be transferred to the new one. Nolan at Bluff City Solar Co was more than delighted to help us with a re-install after we had previously contacted other companies and been turned down. They made it very simple for us by acquiring the necessary permits, updated equipment, and so on. Despite the unpredictability of the weather, all of the workers were polite and considerate, and they worked fast to complete the tasks at hand. Bluff City Solar Co is an excellent choice." - Marcus P.
"Having Devin assist me with a system that wasn't even setup by them was a fantastic experience. After Devin came out, we figured out how to monitor our system and one of the panels that had been broken began functioning again. Coincidence? Not likely...Devin said I owe it to him to write a review. It's rare to find a company like Bluff City Solar Co or an employee like Devin. That's great, Devin." - Jake G.
"In general, I am pleased with the results. The workers' demeanor and output were both commendable. When I had some queries concerning the installation, Garrett was really helpful. They took care to align and level the panels so that the finished product would seem professional. Having direct access to Sam was also a huge help when dealing with issues. One of the holdups resulted from a breakdown in communication between the project solar and spring solar teams. Worker absences for Covid accounted for the second delay, while bad weather caused the third. The only issue I had was that I didn't find out about the delays until I inquired the night before or the day of, so I lost a few days' worth of productivity. Perhaps if there had been a designated scheduler to relay work due dates and delays, this situation might have been avoided." - Jaxon M.
"Recently, we had Bluff City Solar Co install solar panels and a backup battery, and we couldn't be happier. We had many businesses pitch systems to us, but ultimately settled on Bluff City Solar Co due to their recommendation, competitive pricing, and expert presentation. The installation crew was really skilled, performed an excellent job, and paid close attention to the details we requested. The follow-up with getting everything set up was excellent as well. If you want Solar, you should definitely go with Bluff City Solar Co." - Damian K.
"Working with Bluff City Solar Co has been a pleasure. We are overjoyed that our solar power system is now operational. There were a lot of unknowns at first. Kory provided thorough responses since he cared about making sure that he grasped the full scope of our expectations. Everything works out perfectly, as planned. After the original installation, we wanted to add a few more solar panels, and Bluff City Solar Co was able to meet our request. Five solar firms were contacted for quotes, and Bluff City Solar Co offered the best pricing for the specifications we provided. Bluff City Solar Co has excellent customer service, high-quality items at reasonable prices, and our highest recommendation. We know that if we ever have any more inquiries or issues, they will be more than pleased to assist us. What a relief, Bluff City Solar Co!" - Eduardo D.
