My Generation Energy online reputation

Customers have provided My Generation Energy Solar with extremely good comments. People are delighted with the installation's expertise, quality, and level of service. Customers have commended the business for being open and truthful, saying they believe their money was well spent. On the other side, some consumers have complained that they are frustrated by calls or emails that go unanswered and by their inability to comprehend the fees and paperwork associated with the procedure. However, altogether, My Generation Energy Solar provides consumers with dependable, high-quality service.
In November of 2020, we opted for My Generation Energy. This was the worst decision we've ever made. As a result, we feel deceived. Our current power costs are higher than they were before we put the solar panels. Sad and miserable right now. In addition, if you want to sell your property shortly, I strongly recommend against installing solar panels. The longer it sits on the market, the more value your house will lose. - Jonah A.
The worst business in history. They're so ridiculous that it's funny. Although the contract was signed in January, the system is still not up and running as of the Memorial Day weekend. The technicians that came to my home and left their equipment on the roof for five days were responsible for the destruction of my brand-new Ford F-150 and the shattering of my roof tiles. That was a month ago, and despite my best efforts to get in touch with MGE, they still haven't corrected the problem or responded to any of my communications. You may as well build a fire in your cave instead of letting this firm near your home or family. - Trevor L.
Very poor attention to customers. The collection keeps being shut off because the breaker keeps tripping. Came out and informed me that I had inadequate solar coverage during the summer. No one seems to want to speak with me. Every day, I have to double-check to make sure I'm still connected. My Generation Energy is not someone you want to do business with. - Hudson O.
I have never, and will never, suggest MGE to anybody. The device seems to function OK, however, I feel the manufacturer is overcharging for it. I was not informed initially that there would be a non-compliance fee" of $15 added to my monthly bill if I refused to give them access to my account. I always paid the minimum each month, but I never paid the "non-compliance fee." This charge may or may not be legal, but if it is, it is wrong. You would think that at a time of crisis, they would at least waive a charge like that, but they don't. They provide zero attention to their clientele. I can't get out of my contract with them, but perhaps this will help you weigh your options with MGE." - Bryson G.
Their salespeople are professional con artists and liars. The firm defends its bogus claims. M informed me that the salesman is an independent contractor and not an employee. Despite their assurances of free solar panels, I am stuck in a worthless contract. My next move is to sue them. I could even leave the FREE panels to my children and grandchildren, which was fantastic news. It's a lease, and if you don't like the idea of allowing a gang of criminals access to your bank account for 20 years, you can pay an extra $20 each month for the next 20 years. My electricity bill was $180 this month. When it was very chilly and I just had excellent, I never paid more than $140-$150. liars and cheats, all of them! Don't go near! - Kenneth F.
To install 20 solar panels on a home we inhabited last summer, we hired MyGeneration. Abe was our key collaborator. Accurate and helpful information was supplied on expenses and savings. Due to backlogs and availability, installation took a little longer than expected, but overall, the service was excellent. The process of installing and operating the panels entails several phases. They have an efficient mechanism in place that moves things forward swiftly. If you have a suitable location for the panels, the ROI should be relatively significant given the present tax incentives and energy costs. - Cayden E.
After receiving offers from six different companies, I decided to go with MGE to put solar panels on our Barnstable home. Their proposal wasn't the lowest, but it also wasn't the highest; more significantly, it made perfect sense and was perfectly tailored to our needs. Through it all, Diane showed patience, thoroughness, and responsiveness. Once I completed the papers and was put on their schedule, the permits, installation, and approval from Eversource all happened promptly. They took great care to arrange everything so that it looked nice, even going so far as to conceal unsightly cables. And like that, it was working, and with only minor tweaks, no trouble at all. Josh and Diane were always there to help if there was a problem. - Grant P.
This was the greatest job I've ever done on a house. From the first meeting to the final product, working with My Generation was a joy. They gave me a detailed breakdown of the energy my system would generate, the expenses involved, the rebates and credits I was eligible for, and the moment at which I would recoup my initial investment. It was easy to calculate the calculations and decide to install it. The installation guys were prompt, efficient, and polite on the day of the job. Fast and effective results were achieved. After a year of successfully generating zero-cost electricity, I feel completely fulfilled. It's nearly as satisfying as not having to pay an energy bill to check on the output of your solar panels using the app. Using MyGen is a must, in my opinion. - Ryder L.
Overall, working with My Generation Energy was a great experience. My own residence has 28 solar panels installed on its roof, and these panels provide enough energy to supply my needs as well as those of my two rental properties. MGE's services included the whole spectrum, from the first consultation to the post-installation follow-up, and included everything from the design of the system to the calculation of its output to a financial analysis to a loan for the project's financing. The MGE installation crew was as tidy, watchful, and careful as any contractor I've ever dealt with, and they managed to flawlessly carry out a technically challenging post-and-beam installation. Free energy, tax credits, solar credit sale revenue, 0% out-of-pocket, instant positive cash flow, and a return on investment (ROI) of less than two years all contributed to the project's overwhelming success. A big thank you to MGE for a job well done. Strongly recommended. - Emmanuel R.
