"Solar is awesome, and I look forward to decades of clean, reliable electricity. However, North Texas Solar has provided me with a terrible experience. Due to a scarcity of components, two intended installation dates had to be postponed at the last minute. Don't make plans until you have all you need! When they eventually showed up, it was with the incorrect components and a promise to return later. When ultimately replaced (requiring yet another installation visit), they still did not function. Why not begin with an equipment test? They claimed gutters were damaged before they had installed them, despite the fact that the gutters were just three days old. After waiting three weeks, I scheduled the maintenance. They had a cigarette on the job. Masks (which we also supplied) have to be emphasized. They dumped a bunch of trash in the driveway, which I had to remove. They stated they'd come returning to trim the rails that stuck out over the roof line, but the rails were an eyesore in the area. They were upset when I contacted to have me removed two weeks later. By running wires along the attic access stairs (which have since been moved), they created a dangerous trip and fall hazard. The electrical boxes had been placed improperly, but they insisted that everything was good since the regulations made no sense. They ignored, postponed, and redirected my inquiries and complaints. "I know everyone in the state of Texas is used to really terrible service and ghosting from different service providers for whatever reason, but this company's lack of professionalism and decency is ridiculous. That's a discussion about something else entirely... When I called to have an off-grid system installed, the representative gave me an appointment time of 12/21 at 10 a.m. and I thought, "Great!," but when that time came and went, I heard nothing and no one returned my calls to explain what had happened. If anybody attempts to respond with platitudes about how they are willing to talk about your issues and are just waiting to hear from you, I have screenshots of the calls." - Zachary D.

"Don't go solar; it's not worth the hassle. They will make up a fantastic tale to get you in over your head financially. Great if you can buy them, but out of reach for most people. The cost-cutting and increased output are invisible to me. Unless my SOlar panels are junk, which is very unlikely. Because I took out a loan, my payments are much more than they would have been otherwise." - Aaron E.

"There was a problem applying the discount to our final bill. They said the $4,100 had already been credited to us, even though all the records indicated otherwise. I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with them to get the program discount. Similarly, we struggled to get our own system up and running. The power company claimed the problem was with North Texas Solar, while North Texas Solar claimed the problem was with them. In the end, the problem was caused by North Texas Solar's failure to provide the utility company with the necessary paperwork. The installers deserved a rating of ***** (maximum possible). They worked quickly, were courteous and treated our property with respect." - Robert C.

"I really wanted to conduct business with them, but they're so disorganized that it's impossible. I answered one of the several prefilled SMS they've been sending me asking for an appointment, but I haven't heard back from them. Later, I got the solar appointment spam SMS inviting me to schedule an appointment. When I get a text message reply, it comes off as quite robotic and impersonal. Several folks there have been sending me and others unwanted texts and emails. They keep contacting me despite my request that they stop because I refuse to do business with a firm that seems so disorganized right now. I can't stand trying to work with them anymore. Please simply quit sending me spam now!" - Hunter F.

"In 2019, North Texas Solar installed solar panels for me. What I perceived to be a great warranty was a selling factor for me. It was discovered in March of this year, when my system stopped reporting to Enphase, that water had gotten into the box where the Envoy (the device which communicates your production and system status to Enphase) was installed, causing it to malfunction. There was no need to rush since the panels were still producing energy even if the Envoy hadn't reported in. I informed Jake at North Texas Solar of the issue, and they promptly sent a crew to replace the faulty watertight box and Envoy at no cost to me (per the terms of their guarantee)." - Jordan L.

Then, the present electricity plan was compared to the estimated savings from switching to solar power. Not to worry. Asserting no compulsion to buy. Genuine, well-informed, and kind intermediary. The installation personnel arrived promptly, introduced themselves, and asked if there were any problems or queries they could help with. The staff, the product, and the service were all excellent. "It's been six months since I installed the solar panel, and I couldn't be happier. My last power bill was from three months ago. From that point on, all I did was online. In other words, it's a functional product. In terms of the installation service itself. The boys and girls performed an excellent job, and everything went up quickly. They were easy to get along with, and Jake was prompt in responding to any requests for assistance. Nothing was required of Jake since he handled the whole process." - Luke K.

"The real deal, the pros. There will be no hard sell, tricks, or pressure. During our first consultation, Liam determined whether or not going solar would be worthwhile for me given my existing energy use. Then she went through the available choices, the advantages of each, and the overall price tags. They handled the necessary paperwork for the government, the HOA, and any other third parties. The installation crew came on schedule and got right to work. Everyone who would be working on the project, from installing panels on the roof to working on the main electrical panel to running lines in the basement, introduced themselves and explained their specific responsibilities. Extremely well-organized and friendly. If solar energy is something you've considered, now is the time to contact and schedule a consultation. Not to worry. You are under no obligation.
