After first picking Revco to install solar panels on our pool, we have been stuck dealing with them for warranty servicing for years. They assured us that they would take care of any claims we made throughout the warranty term and that we would only have to pay $90 total. The charge for filing a warranty claim has increased to $200 during this period. If they had completed the job promptly and to my satisfaction, I would not have minded. Unfortunately, they keep falling flat on their faces. Something on the system they put in place fails at least once a year, and fixing it takes months each time. The most recent one began in March and included several guarantees to resolve the problem. Every month I give them a call, and every month they say they'll solve it. Now they're saying they can't help us with our system's warranty problems after all. Tiffany's rudeness, debasement, and lack of respect just made matters worse. - Brady R.

Quite a few years ago, we had a system installed. After a period of use, we realized we required warranty service. HORRIBLE!! We contacted them, and after one visit they claimed to have fixed the issue. We had to contact them again, and they charged us $150 for the warranty service they provided. The technician stated we are too far away and that he would contact us when he was in the area a third time when we called about the warranty. Yes, you guessed it: no call and that was a year ago. Unfortunately, solar heating professionals either went out of business or were acquired by Revco. They did the initial installation, and they assured us that Revco would handle any warranty issues. However, Revco will not honor the guarantee, and they may soon go bankrupt as well. They're not picking up their phones. Celestial Solar pool heating was recommended to us by a friend, and we couldn't be happier with their work. - Richard D.

This organization can be summed up in one word: inept. We need a no stars" rating. Their customer service is terrible; they are unreliable and take too long to respond to messages. Their technical support is terrible; it took them three hours and two specialists to fix a minor issue covered under warranty. They were rude to the Sunpower technicians who were attempting to aid them. While I stood there, they were on the phone with them and throwing f-bombs. I thought I had a major problem until one of Revco's rivals came up and fixed it in under an hour. I have no idea how they are still in business." - Victor D.

As for me, I have to concur with many of the other reviewers. Before I moved, I had a system installed by Revco, and it had served me well for many years. I tried calling recently to ask about solar energy but got no response. I don't know whether it's under new management or what, but in the three weeks I worked there, I never once talked to the same individual twice. It seems strange that no one is interested in buying solar panels from you, given that you are in the solar panel industry. I just had to contact Solar City once, and they were really helpful. - Nolan F.

What an incredible organization. My power expense for things like heating my pool and charging my electric car will be eliminated now that I have new solar panels put in my home. They were reasonable with their pricing, and they gave me all the paperwork I needed to claim the rebate. Matt and his team exceeded my expectations in every way. They worked late every night to get the job done and completed ahead of schedule. They simplified everything, therefore they deserve every star I'm giving them. - Marcus W.

We've been regulars at this shop for quite some time. We placed Fafco solar panels together with our pool 30 years ago. The panels have a 10-year warranty, and Revco has been providing maintenance for as long as anybody can remember (we had them replaced by them about a decade ago since the sun and wind are so intense where we live in Rancho Cucamonga). We take advantage of the once-a-year servicing in the spring when they provide a discount and send out a specialist to inspect the system before the busy season begins. From setting up an appointment with customer support to our technician (who has been Morgan at least the past few times... wonderful guy and does a very fantastic job), everyone at Revco has been quick to respond and very professional. Even though we are 40 miles away, they never missed an appointment and did an excellent job even though I'm sure it was very difficult to keep staff working and healthy throughout the COVID outbreak. People's patience seems to be less and shorter these days, so I thought it was important to let you all know what a fantastic business Revco has been for us and how much we value their outstanding service. - Devin P.

Had solar panels put in around 11 years ago; since then, both the original installer and the solar panel manufacturer, FAFCO, have gone out of business. FAFCO advised me to contact Revco, the company which installed my five solar panels when I reported a leak in one of them. Revco Solar came out, examined the leaky panel, and concluded that it needed to be replaced rather than mended. In approximately an hour and a half, the replacement panel was installed by the Revco Solar representative who had brought it with him. I was pleasantly impressed by FAFCO's exceptional service and the length of time they stood behind their equipment and warranty—12 years from the date of installation. Both of these businesses are excellent options for anybody in the market for a solar pool heater. - Jake N.

The workers that came out were helpful, pleasant, and professional; they provided us with everything we needed to get started. My solar panel installation in Laguna Niguel, California, leaked. Even though Revco Solar did not initially install my system, I reached out to them to see if they could fix the leak. My solar panel installer was booked solid for the next three weeks when I phoned to inquire about maintenance. I phoned the service department and spoke with Christine, who swiftly returned my call and scheduled me for the following week, adding that she would get back to me if any cancellations came up. She called me the next day to tell me she could squeeze me in that week. Morgan, the service technician, came out and rectified my leak quickly and affordably.
