"Over the years, I have utilized this firm several times, and each time, I have spent an outrageous amount of money for what amounted to very basic assistance. I shall never again rely on them. The last time we had to contact for service, it was to top off the coolant in an air conditioner that was just 2 years old. "To begin, let me add that the technician was kind, informed, quick, and effective. But the accusation is a complete and utter theft on the highway. To cut a long tale short, he installed new PVC pipe 6 inches above ground without excavating or drilling. The total time and cost came to less than $30 and $525 respectively. Did I approve this? Yes. It would have taken too long to get someone else out here, and I desperately needed my water supply restored. I'll have to pay for that one. Frank Gay was an easy option to move forward with after the initial consultation; the technician did not try to up-sell me on any unnecessary items or services, and their price was lower than Mr. Sparky's. As soon as the technician returned to finish the job, everything went south. The technician arrived and got right to work, which is understandable given the pressure of their schedules. But when he sought to get paid without showing me what he had done, I got suspicious. A broken outside plug that was supposed to be fixed was, in fact, still broken. After 5 minutes of trying to get it functioning again, the technician stated it was getting too dark to finish the task and conceded that he had initially corrected it. My front porch, which is illuminated, at around 6:00 p.m. Having a reputation for patience, I agreed to the reschedule for the following day. Once again, I rescheduled my entire workday after being informed an hour into the service window that he would not be available. No, thanks. That labor was done for free, it should be noted." - Chuck
