"There is a procedure involved in installing solar panels, which you will learn about after researching several solar providers. But 11 months is too long to have things functioning well. When there was a problem (and there were many of problems), the only person at Select Solar that accepted my call and got back to me was the salesperson. My hometown is challenging, yet law abiding to a fault. I spent a lot of time just trying to locate individuals so I could piece together what was going on and know when help would arrive to fix things. No one was returning my calls until the salesperson intervened." - Luke E.

"I put down a deposit and signed a contract over five months ago. Excellent presentation, showed up for the survey, drew up some amazing ideas, and then...nothing. No follow-up, no insurance certificate, salesperson sent us to the IT department. Our case manager resigned without giving us any warning or transferring our contract to another employee. The new person took a vacation instead of getting to work as promised. Sent an email to management and was assured the issue will be fixed right away. There has been no workers' compensation insurance for the last three weeks. Hard Pass on the huge time sink that is requesting a refund." - Carter N.

"If you're looking for support, I wouldn't recommend dealing with Select Solar. In February of 2020, we became a Select Solar client. We were unable to finish and implement our system until October of 2020 due to a shortage of qualified staff. We still have not received the permits for our solar installation from our municipality, and customer service is still weak. It's probably too late to shut it down now that the permit has expired. There is no response when you dial the number for Customer Service. The only other option is to call and pretend to be a new client so that someone answers the phone and you can ask to speak to client Service. If you can avoid it, don't go with Select Solar; instead, explore your alternative choices thoroughly." - Owen J.

"Not familiar with the firm, but the salesman's sheer lack of regard for me says a lot. When I made it clear that I wasn't interested, when I ordered him to leave, when he strolled into every yard instead of staying on the sidewalk, when he disregarded the many "No Soliciting" signs, and when he persisted in talking badly about me to my neighbors, he came dangerously near to being physically harmed. Please don't come back to my block again; it's not safe." - Isaac T.

"After a year and a half, two of my solar panels stopped working, and I called the company, which promptly booked a repair appointment for me three weeks later. My first appointment was missed, then they rescheduled it for the next week, but the same thing occurred. I've had to reschedule six times for someone to come repair my damaged panel, and each time they give me a new explanation for why they can't. I've given up on this organization and I hope that anybody is considering them reads this since you're nothing to them once the contract document is assigned." - Connor P.

"I did all the work on my own home, and when I hire someone to do a project for me, I am extremely picky. Brandon is the one guy I knew I could trust with my PV system, and I've known him for a long time. Having made house inspection my major source of income, I've seen more than my fair share of installations that were "okay" but not as I would have ideally liked them to be. Brandon completed the task to my satisfaction. Since I knew I could not trust them with my project, I did not try to acquire any other quotations. All LG goods are highly regarded and are manufactured in the United States." - Lucas K.

"We reached out to four different solar panel installers before settling on one. Only Select Solar's Jack requested a site inspection before providing an estimate. The remainder of them made an effort by looking at satellite photographs of our house and/or having a cursory conversation with us. Therefore, only Jack's plan made sense for the peculiar slopes and asymmetry of our roof. Furthermore, unlike the representative from the bigger organization, he did not have to refer our inquiries to a "design team" in order to provide us with answers. Jack/Select Solar has a deep understanding of the solar industry and technology, and they are dedicated to optimizing how it is used. He employs cutting-edge, high-efficiency panels and other components and can effectively address design issues. The job was done effectively and well explained. "Thoroughly and simply explained everything about solar systems, which I understood surprisingly little about when I started this process. They accommodated my odd schedule to schedule a convenient installation time for me. Their system was reasonably priced, and it was installed by qualified technicians. "Thus, if I were allowed to give 4.5 stars, I would. I got a fair price compared to the other three offers I received. They found a great price on American made solar panels. The workmanship was impeccable. Great responsiveness. Given that they don't seem pushy, it would be unfair to lower his score because of the delay in installing my system.
